In Total Drama Action, there have been changes to team leaders in both the Gaffers and Grips due to their team captains leaving the show. Some players do well in leading their team to invincibility, and some do not and fall right to elimination. But throughout this season, I was amazed at how these contestants lead their teams. So I ask you guys, which character in Total Drama Action has what it takes to be a great leader and lead their team to victory?

Gwen, simply because everyone else is horrible.

Justin sits on his butt all day.

Lindsay is pretty bossy, also a bit lazy, and is still the stereotypical dumb blonde.

Courtney is VERY bossy, with a touch of insanity.

Duncan is better than the three above, but a good leader would not constantly ridicule his teammates. It's not like he would try to stop the Gaffers' complex net of hate and conflict, anyways.

Gwen, at least, chose a team that could get things done, and she didn't stay long enough to make the mistakes that everyone else did. Seriously, what did Gwen do as a leader for her team? Stop a fight, but that's about it. I guess she wasn't a true leader of her team anyways. Everyone else kind of self-lead themselves under a general group goal. Duncan, LeShawna, Heather, Harold, and DJ could work together (until they started getting on each others' nerves) and operate individually if required. Gwen didn't need to lead anyone.

Lindsay has the most potential. She may be bossy but if so, it's to say that she has a gift and doesn't have the slightest idea to use it.

And I know that most of you may disagree with me on this one, but I would also choose Heather. Sure, she's mean and has had more restrictions for contributing to challenges, but last season, she's seemed to prove herself to be an effective leader.

It seems like there is some disagreement over how someone can be the 'best' leader. Who's the best morally, and who's the best on the subject of effectiveness. They sometimes go hand in hand, but not so on TDA. Gwen is best morally, in my opinion...but Courtney, Heather, and Lindsay are all very effective.

If your thinking of it like that, I would say:
    morale: Gwen
    effect: Lindsay
that's a good way to think about it, ala.

Morally? Well, Gwen's a good choice, but I would still have to choose Lindsay. Whether or not she would learn how to use her recently dicovered gift, I wouldn't see Lindsay becoming a leader just for the sake of taking advantage for something in exchange.

And I've come to thinking, neither would Beth. This is ironic considering that they were guinea pigs in Heather's alliance last season; they seem to just be breaking out of their shells this season.

They both have what it takes to lead a pack morally. It still takes time to develop on that, though.

And maybe, Geoff or even Bridgette. This is anticipating when Geoff will finally decide to snap out of his new-found narcissistic phase. He'd definitely make a good leader. And since Bridgette can or at least tries/try to get people working together, she gets my vote too.

Courtney emerged as a natural leader in TDI so I voted her. But that could easily change with her new personality.

They're all really bad leaders to me (especially Courtney and Lindsay), but I voted for Gwen since she's the closest thing to what a good leader is to me out of those 4 on the poll.

They all have their pro's and con's.

But at the same time, they have not enough pro's, and too many con's.

I'd say Courtney because she was a great leader last season and she's already doing a great job with the Grips this season on Ocean's Eight or Nine.

I see no distinct difference from Courtney comparing seasons 1 and 2. She's exactly the same, except apparently, has come more prepared.

I just remembered Trent. I think he'd be a good choice for leading the team, if not for the whole number 9 obsession.

Duncan, in my opinion would also be a good choice for a leader. He's got the gift of persuasion, and has used it many times and succeeded.

I have a hunch that Lindsay will soon break out of her shell and will probably (if not for Courtney) take over as leader and help the Grips catch up on a few challenges.
