    what is everyone's race on the show?

    Okay, first of all Eva is eastern europeon, or russian, D.J is jamaican, Heather could be asian-american. What makes you think Chris, and the other people in the topic under mexican is mexican? Also Geoff is bohemian, it was in his biography in totaldramaisland.com, his parents are.

    I doubt courtney, justin or noah are Mexican, why do you group everyone based on their skin color, Justin and Courtney are just tan but "white" overall. I could see Katie being Asian but how is Heather Chinese?

    OK nerver mind I miss up I'm not a raciest I just was wondering what everyones race was I just thought Courtney and everyone else was Mexican cause they were dark but you are right and I.m wrong ,and Iwas a dumbass for putting this on here

    i would say you got the white part right. you might be missing a few. i thought might have some asian in her since her eyes are crescent. leshawna is black as well as chef and most likely dj since she did adress him as a brother in the frst episode. i would also say that other than chris, the ones you put under mexican are also black. chris looks white.

    I always imagined Heather and Sadie as Asian. DJ and Leshawna are both black, but everyone with the tan skin I just imagine as tan white people *shrug*.

    Heather and Sadie are clearly of East Asian descent based on their eyes, hair color and skin tone

    DJ, Chef and LaShawna are Black (of African American/Canadian extraction)

    Justin looks either Native American/American Indian/First Nations or Filipino

    Katie looks like she could be Black or East Indian (dots not feathers)

    Courtney looks like she could be of Latin/Hispanic origin, of Italian Extraction or may even be mixed (half African Canadian/half Caucasian)

    Noah is clearly Caucasian, but based upon his mannerisms and names, he seems like a bad attempt at a Jewish stereotype.

    Chris MacLean, Owen, Gwen, Geoff, Bridgette, Cody, Ezekiel, Eva, Izzy, Tyler, Lindsay, Beth, Duncan, Trent and Harold are all Caucasians.

    I wonder if Todd Kaufman has ever addressed this issue.

    Courtney has freckles, and the only Spanish people I see with freckles are the ones from Spain, aka, white looking people. So I doubt Courtney is Hispanic.

    I live in Texas and I have met a number of Hispanic people from Mexico and Brazil that do have freckles--especially if they have Spanish or other Caucasian blood. I also have a couple of mixed friends that are part Caucasian and Part Filipino or Vietnamese that have freckles. I even know some light-skinned African Americans that have Freckles as well. What you have to remember about Hispanics is that they are not a race, they are an ethnicity which mixes people of African, European, Native American tribes, and some middle eastern strains as well. People that live in Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal and the south of France have mixed blood that was the result of the Moorish invasion of Europe, so they are mixed to start with, unlike Caucasians indigenous to northern and Central Europe and the British Isles.

    ^ True, nowadays, lots of countries are just like the US; a melting pot.

    I really am not sure what to call some of the characters, though... it's kind of ambiguous. I've heard several people call Katie black, white, Spanish, and other things.

    Courtney always reminded me of Lacey Chabert, who is half Cajun. *shrug*

    I grew up in Louisiana, and A LOT Of Cajuns I knew there look like Courtney--they're a mix of French Canadian, Black, Native American, Spanish and Caucasian. I still think Justin is supposed to be First Nations or Native American. He's got those chiseled looks and abs that remind me a bit of John Redcorn from "King of the Hill" and given how many First Nations tribes there are in Canada, he would probably be the token First Nations member on the show.

    People from Jamaica are considered Black according to race. People from Boehmia and Eastern Europe are considered Caucasian according to race. Nationality is not the same as race nor is it the same as ethnicity. There are three domninant types of Homo Sapiens on the planet per biologists: Caucasoids, Negroids and Mongoloids. These are based primarily on bone structure, blood types, skin color, hair type and certain genetic features.

    I see Justin as being Pacific Islander or First Nations.

    Courtney is more likely than not just tan but white. (there are some white kids at my school that are more tan than some Hispanics.)

    Katie may be Asian.

    Heather just doesn't seem Asian to me. She just seems like the rich white girl who bosses everyone like a slavedriver.

    Just FYI, Bohemian is not a racial thing. Some people like decorating like that. That's what the whole "Geoff is Bohemian" thing is about.

    DJ, Leshawna and Chef are all black by census definitions.

    The way the U.S. and Canadian censuses define "white" is "any person with ethnic backgrounds from continental Europe, the British Isles, the Caucus mountains, Scandinavia, Russia, the Middle East or Nothern Africa."
