I hope you guys realise that Trent is an animation drawing in a reality cartoon series that came from a 40 year old's mind, right?

Owen. He's just annoying. He's the MOST overrated.
Noah. FRIGGIN JERK! I want to punch him in the teeth.
Duncan or Courtney. I actually like Courtney some but Duncan, the ex-con I'll remind you, is too popular.
Trent. They always have the "guy next door" on these things. If it weren't for the Gwen thing, he would be less relevant than Ezekiel.
*laughs* It's funny how ridiculous some of these comments are...
Look, it's one thing to say that a character is overrated, and I understand the reasoning behind most of them, but to say something along the lines of "Oh, how can anyone like this character? They must be idiots if they like this character!" is a completely moronic, ridiculous, biased, and dogmatic statement. You're no better than them, and they're no better than you, so quit being so closed-minded and start respecting the views of others! (And you wonder how flame wars start...)
That being said, I say Courtney is the most overrated. But I will not say that anyone who likes her is an idiot, because that's most likely not true.
Also, about the "they're animated characters and therefore can't be hot" thing... it's called personification and imagination. That's how cartoons work. That's also the only reason why cartoons exist. If you can't relate to a character (meaning if a character doesn't seem like it could be "real"), no one will watch the show. Therefore, I applaud those of you who do go the extra mile and say a character is cute or whatever. Even knowing the characters aren't real, you personify them like they were, and it clearly shows you have an imagination, which in this day in age is a blessing to have. Now, I'm not saying you need to think that a character is hot to have an imagination, but there's no need to make fun of anyone who thinks so.
Ialways thought Bridge was overrated. Her talents are supposed to be surfing and first-aid, yet she never demonstrated either one, she just spent the whole season bumbling around, and got booted off for a stupid reason.
Of course, they found a way to make her even worse in season 2, so glad she got booted off first.
5th place, Crystel. 5th.
To be fair, only the top 4 of TDI deserved to win.

I don't think Mr. Coconut counts.

ok...i know this was said a while back but.....girls find duncan "hot" because of his personality on the show. Its not coz he looks gud. evry1 knows that girls go 4 the bad boys! as 4 cody im nt rly sure but his character is rly sweet so i like him.
Gwen and Trent r the most overrated!!! i cant believe how much screen time they gt! and i cnt believe how much ppl actually like them! there RLY boring!!
As much as I like all the characters, I agree that Gwen and Trent are a bit overrated. They're solid contestants, but they didn't really need as much airtime as they were given first season. For me at least, Trent is more interesting this season... the OCD was unexpected, and the story about his grandfather was great for being possibly the first thing about him that isn't defined by Gwen. It's nice to have them voted off at present so the focus can shift onto the other characters for a bit.
I think half the reason that Noah and Cody are so popular is because so many people ship them over that kiss first season. Noah can be funny with the sarcasm, but he really wasn't that great a contestant. Cody is basically the male equivalent of Beth, but he manages to be really popular while many fans hate her. Yaoi is a force to be reckoned with.

I actually think the reason he's liked more in the fandom isn't just Yaoi.
Beth's design is... not very appealing and she has an annoying voice.
Cody has a rather appealing design and a pretty nice voice.
Courtney.
Doesn't the whole "I WAS A CIT!" thing annoy you sometimes?
She did have one good line in After The Dock Of Shame: "A coconut? We're in Muskoka, people! If you're going to throw props on my head, they should be geographically correct!" (snow falls on her head)
