I'm starting to think it has. Look at the evidence:

No episode or "Will Return"s for 4-5 weeks.

The director says he's done with the show.

I think the ratings have been very low, somewhere around 10,000 people watched the last few eps.

(Now for my opinions). I also think the show has lost its edge. The plots aren't great, the jokes aren't funny, the characters develop unexplained new traits.

I'm getting more and more sure they cancelled the Total Drama series. Remember, networks will sometimes do this with no notice. I guess the last word of this new heir to My So Called Life's throne is "Accion-ay" in a weird accent.

Oh well, it wasn't really that good after TDI anyways.

SPIN OFF WITH DUNCAN AND COURTNEY LOL. Wait... they're done with the series, nevermind

And where does the director say that?

If it was they would have announced it ages ago. Now wait until the last minute.

Todd left because he's working on 6teen and Stroked. So he has no time for TDA. Besides, they already announced Total Drama The Musical with a new difrector next season.

Also, 10,000 viewers is quite a lot considering it only aired in Canada.

I'd think that if they already made the episodes, that it's be worth their time to show them, as the networks don't really care about if their shows have jumped the shark as long as the advertisers are paying them.

I admit that I agree that this sort of show could only stay fresh for one season, but I REALLY want to know who will win season 2.

It's a bit unusual that there is a hiatus like this in the middle of the season but remember a couple of things before predicting gloom and doom:

    1) The show started out strictly as a Teletoon show.....it was sold afterwards for syndication to CN as well as other countries which increased its profitability quite a bit.

    2) Creative types leave popular shows all the time.....a director leaving does not automatically point to "jump the shark" time

If the show frontrunners think they are losing audience by straying too far from the base premise, it'll be changed in season 3 or 4.

There are no guarantees with any show these days but I think TDI/TDA will be around for at least three seasons...knock on wood...

Given the way cartoons are made I would assume the bulk if not all of TDA has been animated by now, which means Teletoon will play out the series no matter what their future plans are. Furthermore no decision on the future of the series can be made until the initial Cartoon Network airings indicate how it will do in the US. Even if the ratings aren't great in Canada its likely Teletoon will air any Total Drama followup if Cartoon Network is willing to buy it.

As for 6teen 13 more episodes are due sometime this year, but there is some suspicion that these might be the last 13.

How do you know it is 10,000? 10,000 is fair in Canada. 100,000 is very good. I think only the French Teletoon gets that.

It will probably start airing again in 3 weeks, in the first week of April. There's only 2 more episodes left until it's where they left off, so I can see them starting up again them.

There really is no guarantee that they'll even make TDM. That may just be a thought for a new series, should it be renewed.

Maybe the premier got 10,000, I think the next few were below 2,500 or something.

The big reason I say it's over is the director leaves right in the middle of a hiatus. There is a thing as a "permanent hiatus" that has killed some great things, Neutral Milk Hotel for example, they've been on "hiatus" for 10 years with only one song played that whole time.

Anyways, yeah. It's over, they just cut it midseason. There goes one of the best cartoons ever.

Oh for god's sake, stop jumping to conclusions people. if a new episode isn't aired after the Aftermath has been re-played then now I will agree that the show is over.

They showed the first episode on ABC yesterday. Seems a good show. I daresay it should go for a few years... Reality tv is quite popular...

TDA isnt cancelled. They are taking a mid-season break (although it really isnt mid-season). Like Skyancez said, if no episode 7 airs after TDA aftermath rerun, it is cancelled
