    Some of the characters on TDI I've found are a little TOO Cliche. (FYI Cliche is something that is commonly done, in this case a sterotype like dumb blonde)

    Harold.... is basically napoleon Dynomite... without the afro

    Lindsay is just a dumb blonde

    Duncan a juvie who tries too hard to keep a reputation (doesnt want to be seen as "nice" or "good")

    DJ a really big guy who's scared/gentle

    Anyone else think of a few? I left quite a few open

    Well I think that's part of the show's format, using stereotypical types of teens.

    Heather=Snobby popular girl

    Noah=Know-It-All

    Beth=Meg Griffin

    You see?

    Here's a couple more.

    Gwen- gothly loner

    Cody- A dork who wants to be cool but fails

    Leshwana- loud ghetto chick

    Izzy- a crazy outgoing girl

    Trent- a cool laid back guy

    Beth- a typical geeky girl

    Heather- bratty, bossy, popular girl

    I think the whole point of this show is to put out sterotypes but in a funny manner.

    Making all the characters out to be steryotypes was intentional, and probably a good idea. Most of them ended up breaking them so that was cool.

    Exactly. I think all the of campers who were around for more than three episodes managed to break their appointed steryotype.

    Well, I guess your right except for all of them except Lindsay. She did stand up to Heather, right? In that epidode with the bikes, when she foun out that she was being used. The entire time she was just this midless little zombie that did everything Heather said.

    Yep, the characters are just a play on a few stereotypes, because lots of them occur in reality shows. And TDI is like a reality show satire, right?

    I think characters like Duncan are pretty extreme, though. I mean, you don't have to actually go to jail to be a "bad boy" >.>. It's not necessarily a bad thing, though. It makes it funnier that way. You gotta make the characters a little bit unique if they're going to be interesting.

    Thats a good point, but I think I might just be mainly focus on Harold... seriously can you say NAPOLEON DYNOMITE?!
    **************MINOR SPOILER!!!************************
    And just pointing out something in ND (the movie) his dad (this really geeky white dude) ends up marrying a really hot black girl. So when Harold and Lashawna end up together for that whole 2 minutes, thats basically from that movie too!

    Harold is more like John Heder because he acts like Napoleon Dynamite and He said that he took ballet lesson just like John Heder did in Blades of Glory.

    XD. He could also be Morgan Freeman, then he could do a bunch of documentaries on the camp. I would totally watch that.
