Yes and I'm excited about that too, but someone said that the show will last until 2008. If season 5 lasts from 2006 to 2007, then there must be a season 6.

Season 6 would be great, but I highly doubt they're going to do it. I just hope it matches up to the classics

I think they will do Season 6. It said on wikipedia that season six has been announced.

If there is going to be a Season 6, I hope they sign Steve Hillenburg and the other old writers back on. At the end of the credits in the new episodes his name isn't under writer anymore, but there have been: Paul Tibbit, Kent Osbourne, Tim Hill, Mike Bell.

I would love it if they continued all the shows that they have now on nick and bring back their classic shows. But I hope Sponge gets a Season 6!

That would be a dream come true but the live action shows would be kind of hard because some of the actors are older.
