    Who thinks he will? ya'll are gonna flame me but Im starting to think him and sandy had a thing for eachother and that they actually looked good together. O.O But moreover maybe a female sponge would be better

    There are no female sponges, just sponges. So in all technicality, SB is gay if he likes other sponges.

    Why? I don't get this. Isn't Spongebob's family supposed to be normal?

    A mum and a dad?

    An aunt and uncle?

    A grandpa and grandma?

    I think the SpongeBob Sandy couple is fine.

    I don't think they are going to bring another female sponge in the show, I think that they think a new character would ruin the show.

    He also seems very close to Sandy.

    Mentoning that he SPENDED a WHOLE episode trying to impress her and winning her back. That's one point for the couple!

    Let me rephrase something from earlier. Sponges are asexual, therefore SpongeBob cannot be homosexual or heterosexual.

    It depends if the writers want him to date someone or even have a girlfriend. They might not do because love isn't really what the show is about. Except for when Mr. Krabs falls in love with Mrs. Puff. lol that was so random, but in some earlier episodes it seemed like Sandy and Spongebob were gonna be more than friends. He tries to impress her and cant get the "I like you Spongebob, we can be tighter than bark on a tree." phrase out of his head.

    Not to sound like a nature geek, but you're wrong. True, they can reproduce by budding, like starfish, but they also have sperm and egg like cells that they shoot out of their bodies. Then the two mix and then form a polyp, or a small sponge. Check any encyclopedia, there's proof.
    so a sponge can have 1 or 2 parents.
