I for one love Spongebob and Avatar all though they do play ALOT of SB I still love him, I just wish they would bring back some of the old cartoons.(Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold, etc.)

Nah. It's because a lot of the Avatar fans are teens who actually know how to post in forums. Most SB fans are ickle kids who even don't know what forums are, nevermind post in one.

But really what's the point of this thread? First things first, why are you comparing two shows in different genres. It's OK that you're comparing shows, but you're comparing the quality of the show. Avatar has to focus on action more than laughs and when they throw in laughs, they do a good job. But SpongeBob has to focus on laughs and when they throw in action, they do a good job.
Like if you compare Batman to Superman. You can say that Superman is the better hero, but you can't say that Superman is better because he's wearing a cool shade of blue because Batman isn't wearing any shades of blue to compare to Superman's shade of blue. And that's what I'm seeing fromsome people'sposts. You're comparing what is actually in each show to each other. Try comparing these shows to shows that are also in the same genre. 
As much of a SpongeBob and Avatar fan I am, I have to say that if we're comparing shows like the way that has been compared in this thread, then both of these shows suck. SpongeBob and Avatar both aren't on the TV.com Top Ten Most Popular Shows at the bottom of the home page. It's Heroes, Smallville, Family Guy, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, House, Naruto, The Simpsons, and Dexter.
You all don't compare any of those shows to SpongeBob or Avatar. Why not? Is it fear of having Avatar or SpongeBob lose to those shows? We all know that if you asked people what's better between Naruto or Avatar, they'd say Naruto. If you ask people what's better between Family Guy or SpongeBob, they'd say SpongeBob.
So until people can get the audacity (I learned that word last week in English class) to compare shows like that to Avatar or SpongeBob, then just kinda give it a rest because you know that your show will get "owned".
Then onto forum members being "more mature" on the Avatar forum than on the SpongeBob forum. If you see other forums on this site, you'll see lots of intelligent discussions that easily surpass the discussions on the Avatar forum. Go to the Smallville forum and check the Episode Discussion - Wrath (Possible Spoilers), you'll see that members went back and forth on a specific topic starting from the 10th page and extended their argument to the 22nd page and the little debate they had lasted weeks after the episode finished airing. Now if you hop over to the Avatar forum and check some of the older episode threads, you'll see that there's been no debate that has gone on about the same topic more than at least 5 pages.
So anyways...SPONGEBOB AND AVATAR ROCK...EQUALLY! 
And that ends my midnight rant.

And Family Guy over Spongebob. Avatar and Naruto generally end up tied or Naruto wins by a bit(both happened) and if you wanna see some big arguments, check back to the best days of our forum... about a year and a half ago, 30-page discussions were not uncommon, just most of those people left the forum (and continue to watch Avatar, I'll show you their blogs if you wish). We're in an info drought right now anyway, nothing constructive happens during those.
And I don't see anything over 5 pages on THIS forum that doesn't have to do with which episode you like more, and they've piled up for ages.
But now that Avatar is getting the advertisement it deserves, I guess we can stop being mad at Nick and therefore leave you guys in peace. For now. *backs into shadows spookily*

That's because the SpongeBob SquarePants forum isn't used as much. While it is a more popular show, there isn't as much to talk about. I can't say much for Avatar, but I am guessing that there is room for a lot of conversation and theories, since that has a continuing storyline.

Isn't that what Talon said earlier about some of the members on this forum leaving like SpongeSebastian? 
I haven't seen the debate with Naruto and Avatar, so I can't really choose. But I have seen some Avatar fans who have gotten addicted to Naruto pretty fast. One person would be Pyro_Bender. I'll show you his blogs if you wish.

I didn't say that there would be anything on this forum that lasted over 5 pages. I just said that there are topics on other forums that last more than 5 pages and you said that there were times like that about a year and half ago on the Avatar forums which completes that thought.

The last I heard of him was in a blog post when he said that he was coming to Washington, DC (EAST COAST ROCKS! ) for vacation or something and I haven't seen of him since... It was after school started, though.
