Well, even if I have seen all the commercials for it, I would like to see the actual episode, and post my own opinion of whether I liked it or not.

The good thing was that there were no songs in this one. In Atlantis Squarepantis the entire episode with the exception of a few minutes were all stupid operetta type songs. It ruined that episode for me.

by the way IHeartSB i read your review of whobob whatpants and i don't agree with your final statement you made. if all the episodes that air after this are like whobob whatpants, they will not make spongebob into one of the worst cartoons on tv. that is definitely overreacting. have you seen the other cartoons on tv? spongebob is still the greatest cartoon show on nickelodeon.

I know that. It's my favorite show of all time. I just couldn't come up with another word other than worst to describe how the show will be slipping in a big way if the episodes after this one aren't up to par.

I agree with bob_ball. And I'll wait until I watch it again on Nick2 to make my review, so I can pay more attention to details and be fair about it. And I think it's on my top 5 specials without a doubt, maybe:

Besides being somewhat rushed, I liked this special and it was geat! I can name some favorite parts I liked but I just wanna say that it was great seeing a new city and we also saw Gary without his shell too.
New Kelp City had the bubble popping boys then SpongeBob throws them out of the city! I actually found a few parts of this similar to Where's Gary?
The intro song did have WhoBob Whapants and the episode title did say whatever happened to SpongeBob? And we also saw the quick 5-second Patchy scene saying its a SpongeBob Special!
I'm gonna write a review on this tomorrow if I don't have time tonight!
Squidward sadly loses his egg but at least it gets SpongeBob's memory back!
Gary acted kinda weird in this special though don't you think?
All of SpongeBob's friends call him idiot boy first but in the end they all like him and want him back! A happy ending!

The whole thing with Squidward's egg was hilarious. My favorite part of the episode was where Patrick showed Spongebob that they got best friend tatoos during spring break and Spongebob says he doesn't remember getting it. I think he wouldn't remember getting the tattoo no matter whether his memory is gone or not. He was probably drunk on ice cream sundaes like he was in the movie and got it done. He doesn't seem like the kind of sponge to get a tatoo and be aware of it. He's too much of a baby that way.

The ending made me go "Awwww" *sniffsniff* I loved how SpongeBob and Sandy kept giving each other "those looks" They love each other, no doubt after this episode! Gary was WAY too grumpy, I think we have a new Squidward in the house.

What was the deal with Gary being tied up and hissing and growling at Spongebob? That didn't make much sense to me, but then again I was on the phone during the first 5 minutes of the episode and didn't pay too much attention to what was going on.

i just got a job too. i didn't post it in my blog but i got one this past friday. i take care of vegetables in a grocery store. kind of weird, but it pays well

Overall, I liked the special....yes, I saw the SpongeBob/Sandy looks too! Gary surprised me though. I felt bad when Gary growled at SpongeBob and he replies, "Yeah, I'll miss you too buddy!" The egg thing was pretty funny.
