10. Squidtastic Voyage. Are you kidding me? Is that the best they can do? This plot was pure torture and cruelty to Squidward having a reed stuck in his throat, and then it gets worse, the different story of Sandy's plan of going in Squidward's throat to remove the reed is foiled by SpongeBob and Patrick's carelessness. Well so far that part was alright until they drove around basically destroying Squidward from the inside, and the worst of all is the ending, do kids really need to see that? I don't think so. Horrible ending and a mediocre plot, this episode deserves to be thrown in the trashbin, i aslo feel that this epiosde should not be seen by kids since it shows a will being signed that represents death. That shows that these writers have some serious problems.
9. Gift of Gum. How the he** did this episode win the best epsiode ever contest for season 5? This episode's plot is TERRIBLE, not to mention disgusting with all that junk in the gum, it can get people to think: "I will never eat bubblegum again after seeing that!" Quite putrid and even worse is SpongeBob keeps failing at attempts of getting rid of it which should have worked. The gum basically can't be destroyed and the whole town is covered in goop from it even after Patrick eats all of it, this episode makes another Abysmal ending along with Squidtastic Voyage.
8. Fear of a Krabby Patty. This episode bascially already has been done: Graveyard Shift. The same plot with 24 hours only the new wirters decide to make a less good form of it with this episode, Graveyard Shift was WAY better than this garbage, not only is it creepy and mean of Mr. Krabs of having the workers stay awake for 24 hours for 43 days in a row, but also SpongeBob gets nightmares about krabby patties. Oh please this epiode is so awful and appalling seeing the effects of no sleep that you can just get nightmares from watching it. Out of an unknown number of episodes that i think need to be banned, this is one of them. Even Plankton's new plans aren't enough to save this episode.
7. Good Neighbors. I'm sure the score for itwould be even lower if Skill Crane wasn't paired with it, since Skill Crane a lot think was a better episode. Well for Good Neighbors we got Squidward basically having the worst Sunday of his life, SpongeBob and Patrick keep getting in the way of his relaxation and enjoyment on Sunday, the only day to get away from slave-driver Mr. Krabs who was severely made worse with his mean and greedy ways in seasons 4-6 by these new writers. Spongebob and Patrick unfortunately get Squidward to do the worst thing of all: and that's getting a security system, now c'mon, why does he have to work every Sunday of his life? I'm sure our real-life government would see that as a cruel and unusual punishment violation in the constitution's 8th amendment. So in that case that shouldn't be seen on TV either. Whoever wrote this episode should never be told to write another episode again after seeing this attrocious attrocity. This episode is the second one to show up on my banned list.
6. Karate Island. This episode should not have placed first in the Best Day Ever marathon, period. The vote tallies must have gotten mesed up, i just can't believe this episode won. Why this episode is bad: SpongeBob gets a tape about Karate Isalnd and goes to the place along with Sandy, just about some condos not wanting to be bought makes the plot lame and the characters Sandy fights are mediocre at best, the characters could have been made so much better darn it. Just another episode tha has not enough effort put into it by these lazy writers.
5. Waiting: One of the epsiodes with the most pointless and pathetic plots. About the only thing you're waiting for in this epiode is waiting for it to end. Boring and just features SpongeBob snapping with a behavior not normally seen in SpongeBob, so this episode probably has some ut of character. And also Spongebob and Patrick kind of act like babies in this episode, so it also shows immaturity. Just another one of you average every-day episodes that is a waste of time.
4. Best Day Ever. No way was there a 24 hour marathon for this, its like a nightmare come to life, because us eager and excited fans were dying to see a great new episode of SpongeBob thinking it was going to be great, unfortunately Nick tricked us and all that was shown was mega crap and poor treamtent of SpongeBob, Curse you Nick! How dare you lure us fans into watching that whole marathon for what i think was the first real crappy special of SpongeBob SquarePants. That was not SpongeBob's best day ever folks, we got ourselves some false advertising here because what i saw in that episode was SpongeBob being degrated and had a day of what he said was "filled with doo-doo." Just awful for SpongeBob, since he didn't even get to see Squidward's clarinet recital, abotu the only good thing about this episode was the intro music i guess. Still though, this episode could have definitely been made so much better darn it. Second worst special i've seen yet. The score for this is pretty low, but not low enough for me to not think this is over-rated.
3. Atlantis SquarePantis, Okay if the Best Day Ever wasn't considered enough to be false advertising, this special hits the nail on the head, since a TV movie is at least an hour long where this was only 45 minutes, Nick needs to stop lying to us if they want to avoid getting in deep trouble. Really, here's an example of why Nick's false advertising should be illegal: (Anyone seen Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? Well there's an episode-sorry i forget the name-but i remember what happens in it, Bloo gets transferred to a TV commercial producer who made a commercial "Get Deo!" Where Bloo is in a Deoderant costume for commercials, well towards the end his master has treated him poorly and then Bloo sends morse code through TV to let Mac and his friends know, and soon they arrive and help him out. Now here's the biggie everyone here should notice: At the end Bloo reveals to the audience that Deo does nothing with your armpits, and then his master says that it makes them smell worse, and then he GETS ARRESTED for FALSE ADVERTISING.) So Nick has done some false advertising as well, then does anyone know about this? Anyway, back to the episode: This is the worst special i've seen yet, as this crappy horrible excuse you call a special has some lame singing (too much of it as well) that looks as if they are trying to imitate High School Musical, unfortunately this special fails miserbaly with that. Some plots for it are lame and there's things in this episode that could have been made so much better for it. This episode' score is a 5.7 but i think it should be even lower than that. More Plankton schemes as well that can get old quick are featured in this episode. Just a poorly written special with over-hype and got many fans disappointed again.
2. Pest of the West. The third worst special i've seen for Spongebob. This was another special that was bascially over-hyped again and Nick still continued its tricking of fans into watching another crappy special rampage. a 7.9 i don't think is low enough for this. Even worse is Fast food restaraunts are getting sucked into this over-hype of crappy specials since Burger King was selling toys of Spongebob for this. Well the episode itself when it premiered i don't think was good enough for toys to be sold but whatevs. Another episode where it could have ben made so much better and depserately needed more creativity and effort to be put into it, but the writers get away with it yet again by making another poorl written special. A Sponge deafeats the bad guy in town by jsut squishing him, lame. Nick needs to stop making a big deal out of crappy Spongebob Squarepants specials. (Also Phineas and Ferb toys got through to a fast-food restaraunt, and that show is SEVERELY over-rated, another show that's all hype but toys are actually beign sold because of it.)
1. Fungus Among Us. One of the most putrid and appallng episodes out there, that is also severely over-rated. I actually saw this site a few times in late July and early August and i saw that this episode was scored an 8.1 before, but now clapmaster's saying it actually went up .1 point? You gotta be kidding! This episode is the third episode added to my banned list, so here's my reasons: Okay, we got a lot of gross humor here with disgusting showings of the ick which is putrid green goop that also looks like rancid radio-active barf, eewww that is wrong on so many levels. Then we got People (including Spongebob) suffering badly because of the ick, so this is another episode where Spongebob and Squidward both get degrated. Also why isn't anyone saying that this episode shouldn't be seen by kids? I mean really, Just the stuff that happens in this episode doesn't suprise me if i hear a kid saying: "Mommy, I'm scared." After seeing the episode. This episode is so bad that it 100% needs to be banned immediately, i also change the channel every time i see the episode name heading show up on the TV screen. This is just an evil sick episode that should never be shown on the TV screen again and needs to be burnt down in the bowels of heck from whence it came.
Well those are all my reasons and descriptions of my top ten overrated episodes of SpongeBob (where i think they are all the most abysmal.) So happy reading!
Note: I didn't include The Splinter because i haven't seen it, but just hearing what it sounds like already adds it to the fourth episode to be added to my banned list.
