who is with me on this? It seems like it's not the way it used to be. The episodes are seeming kinda pointless now and not very funny. Something is different. It's unexplainable but i wanna know if any of you know what I mean...

There's already a topic like this. And yes, it's losing it's touch. The new episodes that played today were very childish and pointless. I still like Spongebob but the new episodes are making the show look bad.

Well, you gotta see "Sing a Song of Patrick". It's the funniest episode in history!

Everything just moved by faster. It's not natural like it used to be. But you're right that Season 5 was pretty good.

I don't think the newer episodes can ever be better than the older ones. The older ones  can get boring because they show re-runs a lot.

That is the point I have been trying to get across. Season 5 might actually become one of the funniest Seasons in SpongeBob history.

I hope they keep it that way.

As I mentioned before, Spongebob's character is different and it's gotten really annoying. Before he was a likeable character and had moments when he was...crazy. But back then he had a smart side. Now along with his voice, he's gotten really childish.

I like the new episodes a lot, but some of them have seemed to be more childish than the older ones. Couldn't we make a big online petition or something telling the creators of Spongebob to make the new episodes with more humor that appeals to both children and adults alike, like the older ones?

Yeah it was childish back then too, but not too childish. We should do a petition to get Stephen back. The new crew is getting the hang of making Spongebob funny, but it's not as appealing to all ages as it used to be.

Lets give it a try. weve got nothing to lose. what made spongebob funny to me was the sarcasim and irony that it had in seasons 1-3. In season 4, it only uses a minimal amount of that. if we bring steve back he could incorporate the things that made season 4 funny plus all of the old humor seen throughout seasons 1-3.
