Halloween is just around the coner, so I guess it's a good time to decide which episode you think was the scariest. Not which one you like the best, k?

I vote Ghost Host, just for this scene:

That scared the ::dolphin noise:: out off me

Let's say the Graveyard scen of One Krab's Trash--here's how I see it: for some reason, if the character isn't scared by the frightening scene, it seems as if the viewer isn't as much either. For example, that scene from Ghost Host, ok, yeah, that's scary, but SpongeBob was like, "How long is this gonna take?" For some reason it seems to me that I'm not scared as much by a cartoon scene if the character isn't scared by it. That's just mY POV.

The ending of Scaredy Pants, when I saw SpongeBob with nothing but a brain, it scared the crap outta me.

the ending of Scaredy Pants with spongebob's brain and Ghost Host freaked me out, but it didn't scare me. The ending of Graveyard Shift scared me. I haven't watched that episode since it first aired. And the graveyard scene of One Krab's Trash scared me. I couldn't sleep for at least a week if i remember correctly. But that scene no longer scares me anymore.

    I'm not scared of any.

Ghost Host if I had to choose one though.
    It was OTT.

Squid Bob Tentacle Pants: Especially scenes where SpongeBob and Squidward are merged together, along with the ending.

Rule of Dumb: When Patrick looks in his reflection and sees what he's become. Thinking about it that's a really dark moment in modern Nickelodeon.

"The Graveyard Shift," because it has the best "scary movie" atmosphere. And it's one of my favorite episodes.

I didn't find the Rule of Dumb scene scary. It was just creepy.

    I'd say Waiting.

It's scary how they can trash SpongeBob so much, and yet can still put humor in.

Not Normal. While I loved this episode, it was scary to see Normal SpongeBob and Normal Squidward

You really have to think about what a dark message it is telling to kids. How power can totally change someone, usually for the far worse...

Actually in Scaredy Pants, at the end when Spongebob had nothing but his brain, I actually laughed at that, it was even funny when Patrick ran away! The Graveyard Shift ending scared me! But, not anymore

I didn't get afraid of the ending to Graveyard Shift because I knew what it was from the beginning.

Another very good point, you have to be careful when defining the 'SCARIEST' episode because there's a fine line between scary and creepy.

Agreed, especially when he grinned (too bad it's taken out on the season 2 DVD).
