Oh, I almost forgot. I was surfing the internet yesterday and I found out that Nick/Dreamworks is giving Kung Fu Panda the Madagascar Penguin treatment. I just don't see Kung Fu Panda transitioning well to a tv series especially since all the main characters (Po, The Furious Five, etc.) are all huge stars who probably wouldn't agree to do their voices for a tv series.

I don't think that would work too well. Not many people like Back at the Barnyard, which is another cartoon made out of a movie, and it seems like The Penguins of Madagascar have been lucky, but you have to remember that the Madagascar movies are extremely popular therefore it helped with Penguins. I honestly don't know how good Kung Fu Panda did, but I know it didn't do better than Madagascar, besides, isn't there a cartoon show about animals that do kunf fu already? erm Skunk Fu or whatever?

Ah sweet freedom. Exams are done and summer class isn't for another two weeks so I'm free

As for the discussion at hand.

JFJ Kung Fu Panda made more money than Madagascar in box office/dvd sales and was better reviewed than both Madagascar movies.

That being said though, Madagascar would be a much easier movie to make into a tv series because there are lots of characters and the penguins voices are not big named actors so they are easier to afford. I think Kung Fu Panda sounds like a bad tv series idea, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Also, I think that means we might get a Monsters vs Aliens tv series, Bee Movie tv series, etc. Dreamworks need to really think this out before they churn all of their movies into tv series

I doubt we'd get Monsters vs. Aliens, that also has big actors (Seth Rogen and Rainn Wilson to name two), Bee Movie, that's more believable, with only Jerry Seinfeld (I think?), but that's still a long shot...

as much as i love progress and 3d animation i wish they'd have more 2d animation given such effort and funding

Well now that I think about it every Dreamworks movie has loads of big named actors.

I could see Shrek possibly getting a series too. Now that's milking their hugest property

    Indeed 2D animation deserves more.
3D is good and all, but i honestly feel it more human to see a drawn character rather than a CG one, it's just too close to reality without actually being that near, it's never as beautiful as 2D, atleast in my eyes.

Agreed, I'm actually starting to like 2D more than 3D anyway.

Hey guys, we got a big mystery on our hands.

Does anyone here know that the topic starter for the Worst Episode Ever Contest is jww047? Well I don't know if you guys noticed this, but he was on level 15: Ginsu Knife for a while for those that have been paying attention to his level.

Well just today, I noticed he leveled up to level 16: Church Lady! This is what confuses me and what the mystery is, I heard from word of mouth around here that he got banned! How is he still leveling up when he is banned?

Can't you not get on a banned account? Or can you, just not on that specific Internet service?

Well, he is banned, i just checked his GameSpot account, therefor, he either lurks a lot, giving him points, or it's another server error where the levels change a bit.

Well, I think it goes up a little bit even when you are banned/suspended because when I was suspended the level went up by like 5 Percent.

And it only took 12 months for him to level.

    I never liked him anyway.

Awright, well the Kung Fu Panda thing is soooo not gonna work, I'm telling you now. And Shrek-don't even go there Dreamworks/Nick. It's a fail. Why can't they just leave classic movies alone? Madagascar was my favourite film until number 2 came out. Now my favourite is Monsters Inc. again.

The 2nd one was a LOOOT better than the first one imo...I didn't even like the first one to be honest.

I have to agree there, of the trilogy, the second one was by far the greatest, the first was good IMO, and the third, well, it was decent.
