Weekdays 5:00 PM on NickelodeonIn Season
Is it me or does anyone think this show has gone on long enough, this isnt meant to go against people who like the show, I used to like the show myself but everyone knows that after a certain time and the number of episodes a show has the quality usually decreases except in some cases. I still watch the show but have to say that they first few seasons were the best, over 100 episodes, thats only happened to one other nicktoon before and that was Rugrats. Does anyone agree or disagree with me ?

A few more years? Some of the episodes for seasons 4-6 are so bad that this show should have stopped production after the movie! So i agree with the author of this thread.

Amen to that, my friend. That's what I've been thinking for about 6 months now!
The inconsistency
The sloppy voices
The weird out of touchness
And the new music
Are all signs that spongebob is becoming more 6 year old related instead of the old targeted 9-13 audience
I liked the sophisticated talk, but it's not here anymore

Well I don't know what to say next, but I just saw WhoBob Whatpants advertise again.
I'm one of those fans who liked the first 3 seasons FAR better than some of the crap thrown out in seasons 4-6.
But forunately I haven't seen a cruddy episode in the seasons after the movie in a while, and they've been giving SpongeBob more rests lately since there was only two weeks of five this summer, and a special is not until next month.
So I'm just gonna sit back and see how good this new special turns out.

Quoted for truth. I'm SO SICK of all the bashing against seasons 4-6. It's still good! but what people are feeling is nostalgia of the old episodes, so they already have made up their minds to think that new=crap, that's what it seems like to me.
i think my point is that seasons 4-6 are not bad. its disappointing that the writers are lowing their standards of humor to gross out gags and childish jokes. that does not mean the show is bad. its still better than most of the crap that nickelodeon is bringing in for cartoons. seasons 1-3 will always be the elite of the spongebob years, but that does not mean the show is not good anymore.
