    I doubt if this show is really getting cancelled next year, it's too popular, plus there are a lot of die-hard spongebob fans out there. Hopefully it will at least go 5 more years, when it does cancel, nick might lose some viewers...

    Is it popular around the world as well? I know Germany and the Netherlands have some pretty hard-core SB fans.

    Nah. I don't think it's that popular in Mexico or Spain for that matter. They're more into serious humor.

    I went to an animation forum once and I hear they believe the same Spongebob controversy that some people in the U.S. do -.-;

    I doubt that. If you enter a Mexican store or small restaurant here in the US, you're garrenteed to find at least one SpongeBob pinata. I even have a Mexican piggy bank of SpongeBob that my dad got on his trip to Mexico.

    Sometimes making a pinata of something means you don't like it. After all, pinatas are used for being beaten until they break open.

    Let's just say they have their neutral opinions on Spongebob (Bob Esponja Pantalones Cuadrados) like the U.S.

    I saw SpongeBob in spanish and the voices were really funny and in spanish it's called BobEsponja plain and simple and also it's called BobEsponja PantalonesCuadrados but the theme song I think it says BobEsponja only to make it shorter for the song.

    True. Though they'll probably show reruns.
    I agree.New shows they recently bought like NBB aren't very good at all.But if it gets cancelled,I think it would really be Derek Drymon's fault for screwing up the show.

    but Derek Drymon has not all the fault for changing the show. Also it might be the writer's fault or maybe they are running out of ideas to make the episodes that's might be what's happening.

    Some of these writers like "Casey Alexander" have never done anyother shows (from their credits). Steve Banks originally worked on HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi and Jimmy Neutron. I think they're good writers but not so much on Spongebob.

    SPONGEBOB IS NOT GAY they do that stuff to make the show funnier.

    PROOF: If Spongebob was jealous of Patrick being inlove with Mindy in the movie then he would be gay While Spongebob is jealous of Larry taking Sandy away.
