Freddie seems to have some fluency in Spanish, where did he learn it? Can his mother be Mexican, Chilean, Puerto Rican etc? Doubt he learned it from school since he takes French.

Freddie seems to have some fluency in the language. Carly and Sam say stuff like Hola, Adios, Me llamo.. etc, phrases that most Americans know. Freddie on the other hand, seems to know a lot more. Just look at how fluent he was in IWontCanceltheshow and he said "bigfoot" in spanish in ibelieveinbigfoot. Not something most nonspanish speakers would know.

in the fun facts dan schneider always makes a comment, asking "how does he know so much Spanish? Oh wait, I know" or something similar, so maybe he is hispanic or something... or maybe in school he took a spanish class and excelled at it or something

Most likely because the chip in his head his mom uses to keep track of him was installed in Freddie's head in Venezuela, a Spanish-speaking country. The doctors may have screwed up, or possibly the chip had some Spanish in it already.

    This.

Not to mention he isn't really fluent, the Spanish he speaks is usually nonsensical for comedic effect, considering words like "yello" and "footah" are not actually words in the Spanish language. And he'll say things like "pantelones"(pants) instead of bye, or "calcetine" (singular sock) instead of thank you, and "Feliz Navidad" (Merry Christmas) instead of Happy Birthday. I think it's really funny actually.

Oh, so he DOES have a "Spanish Mode"!
If Buzz/Jessie is any proof, Seddie will become Canon for sure!

Haha totally. Strangely I always wanted Jessie/Woody to get together, which is more like Creddie, but I love Seddie. (Oh and btw, you converted me to ship Buzz/Jessie hehe.)

Alright but I still say Freddie's got a secret Spanish side. Perhaps he's just fascinated with the culture or something.

I still stick by the chip theory. Mrs. Benson had a chipped installed in his head from Venezuela (a Spanish speaking country) to keep track of him.

The chip's programming is mostly in Spanish, in a Visual C+ kind of way.
Also, prior to iGo to Japan (Where the GPS chip was activated for the first time), he doesn't speak any Spanish at all.

So the spanish in the little machine SOMEHOW got in to his brain? Nice Observation though, that he spoke spanish only after igotojapan.

Oh Wait, my friend in spanish class should get a spanish chip inserted in his head so he can stop failing the course!(sarcasm) LOL
