    You earn points towards the next level by doing stuff on the site.

    Level 1: You may only post on the forum, post on your own blog, and write reviews.
    Level 2: You may make submissions (quotes, trivia, etc.) That's when your level can really go up.
    Level 3: You may use HTML (the img tag is the one you'll crave the most right now).

    I think you need to be level 5 to be an editor, but I think that's because you need a minimum of 80 points anyway, not because the TV.com admins have any special rule.

    What Ycc1988 said is right. But also, you asked what "level 1" means...if you go to the top of any page, and click on "my profile" in the upper right-hand corner, it will go to your own profile page. Once you're there, you'll see your level with a percent gauge in the right side. Looking at it right now, I see that you're on level 1 at 96%, so you'll be at level 2 really soon! Your level updates once a day, usually sometime in the morning in Eastern Standard Time (it varies somewhat from day to day). The higher up your level goes, the more submissions/reviews/blog entries/etc it takes to get your level percentage to increase. For example, I'm on level 40, and if the only thing I do in a day is write a blog entry, my level only goes up 2%. If you wrote a blog entry at level 1 or 2, your level percentage would go up significantly more.

    The Zoey 101 forum has frequently been listed on the "Popular Boards" section of the main Forums page, so we're definitely still a popular forum. It changes every day or so I think. However, I haven't seen iCarly over there in recent days.

    So yeah. I'm not too worried about interest in the Z101 forums dying out soon.
