I can say the same for me, too, I remember I use to enjoy watching iCarly a whole lot. Season 1 (to me) was a cheesy start, but it got me into the show. Season 2 and 3 did not disappoint at all, and that's when iCarly was at it's best. Seasons 4 and 5 still had good parts to it; such as iDo and iQ and a few others. Right now, there's not current Season 6 episode I'm totally crazy for. It's definitely not iGo One Direction.

As of now, Nickelodeon's been trying to milk out the rest of iCarly, so we might as well let this be and enjoy the show for what else is left. Hopefully the finale goes out with a bang. Then we can move onto Jenette's show.

I'm quite relieved. I've lost most of my interest after the Seddie arc ended (wish fulfillment- once it happens, then what's the point? Even if the ship didn't last.) And even a little before that I was beginning to get bored. Best to end now and not drag it out anymore like SOME certain cartoons...

This is actually the same reason I want "Phineas and Ferb"'s fourth season (now in production) to be its last. I still enjoy it a lot, but I'd prefer if it ended before the show gets stale or I lose interest. After I went "Brony" (WE"RE NOT FREAKS I SWEAR!!!) I was afraid I'd forget about PaF but thankfully I haven't yet. Once, while watching a parody video of the dark knight, someone wrote a comment that went like, "You can either die a great cartoon, or live long enough to see yourself become unfunny." Certainly applies to the likes of Simpsons and spongebob. This is why I think PaF should consider wrapping up after the new season. Because I love it too much to see it suffer a slow death.

I would say the same for iCarly, but it's too late now. :!

John de Lancie: Roddenberry warned me that I had no idea what I was getting into with Star Trek. Someone should have warned me about My Little Pony! Egads!

I'd definitely have to say I agree. The fan thing got out out of hand, people got too sensitive, and then when these same fans started going after the real life girlfriend of Nathan, it pushed things over the edge. I used to enjoy iCarly back in the early days, but now you can't even get a good fanfiction out without shippers thinking it's about a ship and sabotaging it!

And yes, that happened recently. I wrote a oneshot in regards to Freddie's seemingly wavering ways between Carly and Sam, to which it was about the girls' friendship and Carly basically told Freddie off and stood up for Sam. What happens? Creddie shippers come and attack the oneshot because I made it look like Carly had to do that to not be a back-stabbing bitch or something.....and it wasn't even about a relationship.....

See, THAT is the type of thing that turns me off from a good show, when fans get so problematic and just drain the fun out of it. It's terrible.

    Riiiiiight....
    I kid, I kid.

I do agree though. I hate that iCarly didn't end before the ratings dropped so much. I used to love how iCarly was always the #1 kid's show in ratings. Phineas and Ferb is still running?? Wow. That needs to end too. There's only so many things you can do today, Phineas and Ferb. Go back to school! Do you know how much of an education we got while YOU suckers are still on summer vacation? And yes, the Simpsons is definitely dwindling down too. I think it applies for almost every show. It's not that the writers are bad, it's just that it can't be dragged out so long without it being old.

@FON: Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Like I said in the other thread, I LOVE everyone in the fandom as long as they aren't offending or insulting anyone. I seriously thought that died down a lot though. Maybe it's because I haven't gone to fanfiction anymore since all the good writers seemed to have left. I think similar to friends and people in real life, the drama is only as bad as the people you pay attention to/surround yourself with. Except I guess in your case they just came to you. That is one of the reasons I always come back to this forum. There hasn't been a lot of drama here right now. Remember how crazy it was in the past? I wouldn't even make an account. I think it definitely died down.

I think of the Nathan Kress madness as an entirely different fandom tbh. I think they act differently when they're talking about iCarly than the cast in real life. The thing I don't understand about them is....what is complaining about it/death threats going to do?? The iCarly fandom is fun....people analyze it, because they enjoy it. The Nadisen haters(not the trolls) are angry about it. Wouldn't it be better to ignore it?? Less stress?? They don't know Nathan or Madisen in real life, so they can just pretend it doesn't exist...it's not that hard. The more they "hate", the worse they are treated by Nathan, then they just hate him more and the cycle continues. And ughhh, Nathan should ignore them. I understand he wants to advocate against bullying, and it's awful that people are mean to her...but other celebrities fight against bullying without wasting their time with all of the haters. It's not worth his time to look through his mentions, go through people's profiles to look at the tweets to see if there's anything negative, block them, and find more people. There will always be more people. Nathan should ignore haters and haters should ignore Nathan. Everyone wins.[/end rant]. Yeah, I'm going to stop talking about them now....I already have two lengthy posts about it now. They just are the only people that annoy me....well not all of them....the super extreme ones. -_-

Phineas and Ferb so needs to come to an end. Its a great show, but has gotten a bit old with its formula. It can only go on so long. I agree with your points about Nathan. Haters gon be haters and he has to understand that and not feed into them. That's exactly what they want. They want to have the satisfaction of knowing what they said to him has gotten to him.

Yeah but if someone were insulting and saying hateful stuff to my girlfriend, I'd personally knock their block off. To his credit, he can't get into any fights with fans, but he has every right to be pissed if he is, considering the statements likely affect her pretty much as well

Haha. This cracks me up! I never watched that show-always thought it was annoying and stupid. But your comment made me laugh. Honestly, I didn't really realize it was even still on either-obviously I agree it needs to end.

First of all remind me to "Love and Tolerate" the **** out of you later.

Second, "Brave" is awesome, more on that later.

Third, guess where I just came back from? (Hint: I always wanted to go there!)

Fourth, do any of you watch videos on thatguywiththeglasses.com?

finally on topic, so we all agree that PaF should end before it gets TOO stale, especially it being a "formula" show and all. Their most recent episode, "Sipping with the enemy" had me laughing the whole time, so they are holding up for now. But let's face it; it won't last.....

    1. The show is so well written, but the plot is always the same! I understand people who love it and people who hate it. So stay calm with your love and toleration of opinions!
    2. ....you were supposed to come on the iRamble thread to discuss Brave. I specifically called you out!
    3. Wizarding World of Harry Potter?? Commercial just showed up on my tv and you're always at Disneyworld....thought I'd give it a shot. Wait, are you an HP fan?
    4. Nope.

I agree. I'm guessing like iCarly was for awhile(before Legend of Korra and such entered the picture), Phineas and Ferb was the only good cartoon(or even tv show) on Disney Channel. It's ratings are good(I think?) and they are marketable. There are a lot of P&F products out there like Hannah Montana was. I don't see Debby Ryan or whatever the new Disney characters are on pillow cases and toys and stuff. There was a long time where Spongebob and iCarly was ALWAYS on, still making new episodes, and having all this merchandising. It's good for the network, but I'd rather have a good quality show. Dan can just make a new hilarious show; idk about the Disney writers though....does Disney even have any other cartoons?

And The Simpsons hit its prime a long time ago imo. Oh, and can they please end "The Office"? They're dragging things out and it isn't the same without Steve Carrell. Oh, and can they stop dragging out the storyline for HIMYM? They could have ended it seasons ago without all the "JK she's not your mother either!!". *ends post before ranting about all shows that need to be cancelled*

I'm not sure what I'll do if I was Nathan. I'll probably not even bother to respond to the Madi hate mail. I wouldn't exactly block the hate fans, because it backfired massively on Nathan last time. It's important not to show weakness. If they were a way for celebrities to block certain people on twitter without them knowing.

^Exactly. Unless he just wanted them to get attention and be ticked off, then it's pointless to try and "change" them and be like "Let's be nice to each other! Stop bullying people! I know my fans are better than this!!!!". They got the attention they wanted, and they aren't going to change. I don't mean that he shouldn't be mad, but that's not the way to handle it.

I also think Jennette has a similar-ish issue, remembering when she favorited every tweet that bashed Nickelodeon(including some Miranda hate). I'm a fan and her record label treats her like crap, but that's not the way to professionally handle something like that. She has a right to be upset, but she should just step away from the computer and be upset elsewhere. Miranda has been getting so much hate longer than Jennette and Nathan have(remember how people always compared her to Tina Chen?), but she does a great job at ignoring them and acting in a respectful way. Idk, I just think that's what the rest of the iCarly cast should do. They have a right to speak their mind, but doing too much can backfire.

As actors being looked at by the public 24/7, they are expected to behave professionally and charismatic all the time. It sucks, but doing unexpected things on twitter like that is going to cause chaos. I think it's a little outrageous, but that's how the celebrity life is. I know it's the fans/haters that cause it, but they aren't going to magically change and it's to be expected.

Oh yeah I remember that. We had a heated debate on the boards. The topic is somewhere, I might search for it . But yeah, I still think Nick was wrong for not showing her video. They had fiinally did show the full thing right?

You make a good point. It al goes back to not fighting fire with fire.

He is handling it better, I suppose. It was unlike Jennette to favourite Miranda hate; that was a bad move. Everyone seems to dislike Miranda, a bit like Ariana off Victorious sadly. It's with every public figure, I wouldn't respond to them. Wouldn't even acknowledge them.

So jay, i'm guessing you've been living under a rock for the last few months as it's been announced and quite talked about that the final final episode of iCarly is airing in a couple weeks here.
