Does anyone know how many seasons iCarly will last.
23 seasons to be precise.
They will overtake The Simpsons some time around 2028. At 40 episodes a season, it will be roughly 900 episodes in total. The season final will be the culmination of the 8 year old "Love Triangle" plot between Gibby (who is now a Forumla 1 racing driver), Carly (who is Secretary General of the UN) and Freddie (who everyone thought was killed after he fell down Mt Everest whilst battling the Jonas Brothers, oh yeah, Disney and Nick merged in 2015) in the season 19 final.
Freddie finally overcomes his crippling amnesia (caused when one of Spencers sculptures fell on him, causing him to forget everything, including is love for Carly), and crashes Gibby and Carlys wedding (ironically, he does with with the stolen Formula 1 car gibby drives), declares his undying love for Carly before they run off together to New Zealand to spend the rest of their lives.
In the "b plot" Sam and Spencer (who got married in 2021 on her 27th birthday) rush to the hospital for the birth of their 3rd Child. Will she survive? Is it a boy or a girl?
They are working on a spin-off involving Carly and Freddie along with Ron and Kim Stoppable in New Zealand (or on an ocean liner, they haven't decided yet) to get around the 915 episode limit brought in when the Disnick merger happened), who battle evil forces from another dimension.

Most Dan Schneider shows last about 4 seasons, so I'd say 4. |
You are severely over-estimating the amount of "hardcore" shippers any show can get. For every person who posts in the seddie thread, or the creddie threat, and posts about how it not being creddie or seddie will ruin the show, there are dozens, if not thousands, of people who don't care which way it goes, or don't care about shipping at all.

Back on topic: I'd say this show is a good chance to go 5 seasons, because of the continuing popularity and ratings of the show. The show will have pretty much 3 entire seasons filmed by the end of the year, and the cast will still only be 17 years old. Another 2 years of the show will take it to 5 seasons, without a doubt.
The characters on the show are roughly about 15 in the current canon of the show. I'd say the last 3 seasons will probably be in the region of 23 to 25 episodes each, with season 2 probably likely to end up being 25 episodes, with 19 already shown, most of the rest already filmed, and (rumoured) the "I think they kissed) episode being the start of season 3.
Character ages over seasons:
Season 1: The characters are 14 throughout the season.
Season 2: Still 14, but by the end of season 2, will probably have turned 15.
Season 3: I guess it might end with a extended "Sweet 16" Episode (hopefully Spencer doesn't set anything on fire). Will probably be up around 70 episodes total at the end of season 3.
Season 4: Ages will be 16 to 17, in their 2nd last year of school.
Should be about 90 or 95 episodes made by then, but Nick will probably see they can get another season done, give Dan some freedom to "close" the show in the last 5 or 6 episodes in a more dramatic style, giving Nick something to advertise and boost ratings with.
Season 5: Characters will end the show around 18 years old, and it will probably include typical 'ending high school' ideas like deciding about college, prom and graduation.
It would also be a choice time to resolve and conclude the "high school" aspect of their romantic relationships.
By season 5, Dan will be working on starting a new show or project, the "kids" will be at least 18 or 19 years old, and will probably want to move on to other work or move out of the tv industry to go to college.

The only alternative could be a college spin-off which changes the focus of the show to that older teen/young adult bracket (and would be on a different nick channel), like one of the proposed 5th seasons of Kim Possible was.
It could provide another 3 or 4 years employment for the main cast and crew, and could take part of the fanbase of iCarly to the new show.
It would probably be more dramatic, introduce a 4th main cast member as Freddies new room-mate (who will probably be some Griffin style "smoking hottie" for Carly/Sam to drool over, and would leave behind Ms Benson, Spencer and probably even the webshow (or change that as well, into more of an internal monolouge diary type device). Dan would probably still leave to do a new show though, but may have influence/ideas/write part of the new spin-off.
Sorry, I meant to say I have a feeling Freddie might start a relationship with someone in the future, deson't mean that it is going to end up 100% really happening, I'm just saying I have a feeling some heavy romance may start in that season. But again, I may be wrong, but besides the show's comedy I also like to see some romance every now and then, and I would love it if at least one character starts going on dates with another character, and having some relationship romance in future seasons (like seasons 3+) in the show.
But whether how many seasons it has, 4, 8, 6, etc. not all shows have a relationship romance part of the show throughout it's whole run (even though D & J did *coughJoshandMindycough*) but in iCarly, there are many more future episodes to come and many relationship possiblities.
Well again I think this show is gonna have 4 seasons, or 5 seasons, or 6 seasons. Oh yeah and your first post about this show running until 2028 I highly doubt is going to happen.

Don't know how many seasons. Ask the elevator repairman (3,4, maybe 5). |
