Sometimes writers like to leave things open for interpretation

Personally I feel that they want to keep some plot open just incase they want to come up with a season four.

With the Avatar franchise making such good money, I have a strong feeling that we will have an official Season 4 announcement very soon. Else it's just lame to have to mother of one of the most interesting characters missing.

And with the Avatar multiplayer games announced for launch later this year, they definitely need a season four to push interest to it.

the creators have already said NO to book 4. what they havent said no to is a spin-off however...

writers use it when they aren't totally ready to cut off the series and leave it open so it may one day be continued in some way shape or form that or they are just being jackasses and and trying to drive us crazy

Funny, I haven't heard anyone mention the possibility of a TV movie. Seems like they could get about 90 minutes with commercial out of that plotline.

No, no. They have a new series on Nicktoons called, "Speed Racer: The Next Generation". Apparently, some guys decided to continue the old series.

I could give you several scenarios concerning Ursa (the name of Zuko's mother). My favorite one is that she settles in ba sing se, but is brainwashed by the dai lee, hopelessly lost among a thousand faces.
