Don't you think Zuko could have been good if Katara had healed his scar? Because then he wouldn't have to bear ro have that scar on him.

This has been discussed before. And I don't think it would have made one lick of difference. Zuko turned on them knowing she COULD heal his scar. If that was his number one priority, he would have been on their side. If she had healed him at that moment, then there wouldn't have been any spiritual water to re-awaken Aang. If Iroh couldn't change his nephew's mind, the person Zuko is closest too in the world, I don't think anything Katara could have done would have made a difference.

but if you think about it zuko and katara would have been friends and zuko wouldn't have attacked aang when it was katara+aang vs. azula. Because then aang wouldn't have died and zuko would have captured azula, iroh wouldnt be captured, the earth kingdom wouldnt have fallen

sure, it would have been a piece of cake capturing Azula when she was in command of those hundreds of dai lee agents

I think Zuko still can be good. Didn't you see how he was unsure of himself? He felt badly that he betrayed Iroh and didn't seem convinced when Azula tried to reassure him. Also, he doubts that Ozai will actually forgive him because he doesn't have the Avatar (not that I think it would make a difference).

Exactly. There's no garuntee that Aang wouldn't have gotten hurt even if Zuko faught on their side. Zuko couldn't let go of his anger towards Aang, so why would it have been different with his scar healed? He KNEW Katara could heal it and he STILL attacked her and Aang.

But he still is unsure of whether waht he did was right and if Ozai will love him again. His fate is not decided yet, as long as he doubts if what he did was right.

Yes, Zuko has the potential to be good. We spent the whole season learning that. But at that point in time Azula's offer was too tempting. I don't think anything would have changed his mind. But the fact remains, what happened happened. So we just have to move on from the point we're at now.

I wouldnt be suprised if he's feigning us all by actually getting into the good graces of Azula and Ozai, and then striking out when he has completed his training. Perhaps he thinks he needs to follow Azula to learn.

I don't think that he is feigning us. I believe he is truly troubled and confused, but will come around.

This topic is called "Zuko could have been good if.." as in there is no hope for him to be good. I'm saying there still is a "can".
