Nickelodeon (ended 2008)
So after 'much ado about nothing' over the Jamie Lynn Spears unexpected pregnancy at age 16, Nickelodeon finally and rather silently began to air Zoey 101 episodes again.
But I want to know if Avatar would have a better shot on making it into the regular Nick line-up if Katara followed in Jamie Lynn's footsteps?
LOL...Nick's really got your nighty in a knot at the moment, doesn't it?
There was only about a three or four week lapse between Goodbye Zoey (end of season 4) and whatever last week's one hour season premiere was. If it's any consolation, YTV aired Goodbye Zoey several weeks before US Nick did. I read (or heard) some where that the ratings for Zoey 101 have gone up a lot since JLS's prego announcement. They're probably cashing in on the free advertisement that this is providing. And I would have absolutely no problem with them cashing out if they would choose a different time slot!
One of the members in the C-Box over on DBF pointed out that they may be timing Avatar's finale to correspond with sweeps in May. Which would be great...if only they would show reruns or throw us a bone and tell us when they'll resume airing Avatar.

Uhh...didn't you see the arrows running down her tummy? Wait - how would getting prego mean Katara would get an arrow on her belly? That would be an awfully mean airbender ritual to tatoo a pregnant woman's tummy.

We have a love-hate relationship. I love Avatar, but hate Nick. It works for us.

I could get on board for that. Something, anything would be better than what they're doing right now--which is zip.
I'm like many diehard fans am not in a hurry to see the ending of S3. Truthfully I could wait until the end of this summer and not even raise a fist or whine and cry a bit. The ending of Aang's story is so bittersweet for all of us. But no Avatar at all on the main Nick channel?!? What the heck? Jeez-a-lou, who do they think is coming to see the live-action movie when they do not showcase the animated series at all anymore?
Hello, there are like a cah-jillion new potential Avatar fans to convert to the good side of the force before the live-action movie release. If you do not air it Nickelodeon, they will not come. Duh.
Again, what do I know. I'm just a fan.
