Parents could care less, THey'd rather have me watching this than some more violent or grown up show. My sister ridicules me, because all she watches is reality stuff, so i try to to watch naruto, or avatar or something liek that, within her vicinity (she's 15...).??

My Mom thinks it's the silliest thing just because it's animated. If it weren't animated I think she'd like it.
My Dad is pretty much the same.

I am??so glad??that some??who have posted on this thread enjoy a??family life whereby everyone enjoys Avatar together. I cannot imagine another adult who??would just write Avatar off as just a kid's cartoon. My husband and I will be dragging our kids to Best Buy when they open on January 23rd??to buy??Avatar Book 2,??Volume 1??when it's released to DVD and then on April 10th to buy Avatar Book 2,??Volume 2.

How can any parent NOT love??Avatar?!? It's wonderful!

I think our kids are the luckiest Avatar fans on the planet because we cannot get enough Avatar! After all the holiday festivities had ended today we had a back-to-back episode marathon and my husband and I commented on the fact that no matter how many times we watch Avatar we never grow tired of it. It's still just as funny and moving as it was??the first time??we watched it!

Yea...your parents aren't going to care that much.?? Trust me. I kept it a secret for like two months and then I was watching an episode I've never seen, but I really wanted to see and my dad walked in and i was like screw it. I told him it was a good show and now sometimes he'll watch it with me (I'd rather watch it by myself but o well...) and I even got the dvd for Christmas!!! You can still tell them you like it just don't let them know how much like:??

Making vids on youtube and going on avatar forums.... now that you can keep a secret.

Hehehe, I finally got my dad into it....and it wasn't easy too! But I made it my holiday mission to get him into the Avatar fan world.

It started when he and I were riding around and he asked me watch show I watched. I quickly told him Avatar, thinking that he would have no idea what it was. To my amazement, he told me he had heard of that show because his boss talks about it all the time.

    Me: O.0 Wha?

My dad's boss was an Avatar fan!? And my dad actaully seemed interested in it?! MY DAD DOES NOT WATCH CARTOONS! I finally decided to get him into the Avatar show, but everytime it got on, my dad had to do something.

Then finally on Christmas day, a miracle happened...COMPLETE SEASON SET OF BOOK ONE! Now my sister and I have been making my dad watch three episodes a day!XD His favorite episode is the third one and his favorite character is Zuko.

I have finally succeeded in my mission.....now I have my mom obsessed with Danny Phantom, my dad obsessed with Avatar, and my sister obsessed with Teen Titans.....life is good!XD
