    Anyway, Zuko probably doesn't even like her. Read my post about his relationship with girls. For all we know, she's the first girl who likes him (Does he know Mai likes him now?) It's good character development.

    I know what you're talking about, but I thought the creators wouldn't sink so low as to diminish my favorite character with a relationship with a Mary-Sue. I'm disappointed.

    And the whole Mako thing was so thought provoking and sad!

    Right. Why do you think she's a Mary Sue again? I think she's a girl who has a crush on the local tea boy, and bold enough to ask him out. It's not she knows Zuko's the prince of the FN, or that she has a hundred Zuko fangirls screaming for her death.

    Yes, but for character development dfor Zuko as well. For the last three years, the only real female contact Zuko had was Azula and Katara, both of whom have attacked him. I thought it was nice. She's just a girl who got a crush on the boy at the local tea shop.

    And, for the record, she is not a Mary Sue. A Mary Sue could beat Azula at firebending, Ty Lee at arobatics, Mai at weapon throwing, Katara at waterbending, be an airbender, or be an Avatar. Read the last comment in the paragraph above again.

    There are many breeds of Mary-Sue, and until I get some suitable proof in the next episode or whenever that she is not, then to me, by definition, Jin is a Mary-Sue.
    ...and her names sounds like alcohol.

    When I watched it, it sounded like "Jen" to me rather than "Jin", but I guess that doesn't make sense.

    I loved this episode because some of the small questions we wondered were answered. I especially loved Zuko's tale. I thought he looked so innocent when he realized the girl likes him. I thought the most amazing thing was when he lit the torches for her. You would think that to him a girl would not be as important as hiding his identity.
