Wouldn't "Avatar Book 4" be Better Than the Upcoming Movie?

Shyamalan's recent movies sucked, I admit, but he had a hand in writing them. The movie's script is pretty much written, so that won't be a problem.

He is the director so if he wanted he could re-write a few things, well since it is an adaption he'll probably have to do that. So who knows how it'll turn out, I personally would rather a spin-off set in the universe rather than these adaptions.

I'd rather have the movies, then a completely new series. No book 4, but a spinoff with new actors, new characters, and a new plot.

Many a version of Zutara will happen next time around.

I'm quite the opposite. I don't like the idea of a movie. If it fails, it will kill the whole series. A brand new series would satisfy me. I like the half hour episodes that keep me waiting on the edge of my chair. I'd prefer it if things weren't completely thrown at me at one time. But, that's just me. I swear, I almost cried when I heard the movie was coming out instead of the new series. Oh well ='[

This thread isn't that bad, although your lifebending idea is. I'd rather have a spin-off series than a the trilogy movie to be honest.
^ this i agree i'd rather they tie up all the loose ends before they start a spinoff though.

I agree, but I don't suspect they'll be much loose ends by the end of the series.

Dai Li will probably be over thrown, Ba Sing Si & Omashu will most likely be taken back, and what about the Southern Tribe? Pakku and others went their to help them rebuild.
