And in the Ember Island Players Preview at Comic Con, Aang attempts to take a seat next to Katara, in which Zuko takes instead.(Hmmm, looks like Zutara to me. Maybe.) I use to not be a fan of Zutara, but now that I think about it. It could be interesting to see. |
Despite liking, or preferring, rather, Zutara, it is pretty much guaranteed it won't happen. Just because Katara said "This isn't the right time" does not designate proper/realistic hope for both Zuko and supporters to that notion. It wasn't a letdown, in the "I definitely only like you as a friend or family member" when Katara said that to Aang, or else, as blunt and forthright as she can be, she would have just said, "I think it would be better if we didn't confuse things, and just kept our relationship as friends, Aang...I'm sorry" or something. MOST of time, if/when someone bothers to say something like "I can't right now" or "it isn't the right time," etc, there's usually a bit of mutual feelings for the other party lingering there, but there's confusion and/or uncertainty that gets in the way. (And, given that there's still a war going on, I'm pretty sure romance and relationships is the last thing on Katara's mind LoL)
So, yeah. Kataang's gonna happen, sadly. LoL But I did like that Zuko said/does care what Katara thinks of him, which makes their new friendship just as cute. ^_^
