Most likely, no.
Mai uses throwing weapons.
Ty Lee uses non-bending fighting style.

I think so. Maybe Azula might change her allegiances as well. Who knows. This show has many twists. |

I too see more good in Ty lee then evil, espically since she likes Sokka, and if Suki is gone, I wonder if they will play on on that, also Ty Lee was conned into joining Azula, she didn't want to, but Azula kind of made up her mind for her. |
That is one thing I love about Avatar. Most of the characters are not black and white, lot of gray. The only pure 100% evil characters are Ozai and Azula. And our heros, evan Aang have flows.
I think Ty Lee and Mai are very interesting characters. Interesting to see what the writers are going to do with them.

I hope to God that Ty Lee doesn't get with Sokka. Sokka and Suki is what I love. |

If Suki is dead, and if Ty Lee ends up dead. Than it would kind of be a curse of Sokka. LOL

I think there is a huge misconception when it comes to Mai.??Because she doesn't display much care in Azula's plans nor what happens come time for battle she's not actually evil or good. However, she leaves me to believe that she does what she likes and that is the only thing she wastes her emotions on and she absolutely will not waste her time on persung something she has no interest in (Azula's plans). Her decisions are based which option is more exciting for her. It's like her choosing to spend a Friday night going out with her lame older brother because she had no plans that day.??No one can really tell whether or not she is enjoying herself by going with Azula or if she feels the trip still sucks major cheeks?? but anything is better than staying which for her is the Home of Major Cheeks. Once something she is actually interested in comes in the middle I can't really see her second guessing putting Azula's plans on pause to go after something she is more passionate for. With, her crush,??Zuko around now, that may happen sooner than later. Had Mai found the same Ty Lee did in the circus I doubt she would've left for Azula. So a fall out is definitely plausible.
As for Ty Lee, her attitude conflicts with Azula's greatly but because of her fear of Azula I doubt she'll be leaving her anytime soon. Plus, she is extremely naive. Therefore, if she did want to leave she would probably end up parting Azula with Mai. Otherwise, I can't see how a fallout with her could happen.
If there is such a thing as neutral in between good and evil, Mai would fit the bill.
I don't think a fallout is going to happen anytime soon, but I think it will happen, probably towards end of the series. The way Ty Lee joined Azula, Azula nearly had her killed, makes me think somewhere down the line, something is going to happen. If Azula just asked Ty Lee to join her, and she said yes, and it was simple as that, than that would be different.
But for Ty Lee to join Azula under such??sinister circumstances, makes me??think the writers, did that for a reason. Evan if that reason won't be revealed for a long time. Maybe she will find out about??what Azula did to her at the circus. Maybe overhear Azula talking about it. Anyway??What happened to Ty Lee at the circus, happened for a reason.??Something in episode 4, might not come up again till episode 32. (naming two random episodes)??That is the way the writers do things on this show.

Ty Lee is too much of a coward to set a toe out of line, and with good reason, Azula's a very frightening person. With Mai it's more possible, but she would have to become passionate enough about something to care about leaving. |

Ty Lee may be naive, but she has a very REAL fear of Azula.?? This will prevent her from ever taking a first step towards abandoning or even disagreeing with Azula.?? On the other hand, Mai is only along for the ride.?? She has shown she really doesn't care less about Azula's "mission".?? She refused to follow Katara and Sokka in The Drill.?? She didn't even bother to even attempt any action against Toph & company in Crossroads when she said 'take the bear'(although she probably couldn't have done much).?? And she really did absolutely nothing to assist Ty Lee during the scene between Toph, Sokka, and the Earth King when Azula had to put a stop to things with the Blue Flame. I think Mai joined Azula's group as a way to escape the boredom of her family and New Ozai (Omashu).?? She's not there to 'further the Fire Nation'.... she really isn't concerned with that one bit.?? Ty Lee on the other hand was manipulated into joining because she is afraid of Azula.... never underestimate that power Azula has over her.?? It can keep the 'good' in Ty Lee hidden for a VERY long time. |
Actually I think Ty Lee is very intelligent, she said something like: I feel like I must follow another way, well what she said before telling Azula she will folow her, makes me think that she had a VERY powerfull reason, she has a plan, maybe Ty lee and Mai have a good friendship with Zuko and they joined Azula to help him. Maybe Azula hasn't realised they are his brother's friends because it was a secret friendship since she is an spoiled brat. Maybe Mai and Tylee just wanna help him, betray Azula, or whatever. If Zuko didn't remember many times with they in Zuko Alone was because he was remembering his family's problems.
I'm completly sure Mai will help Zuko, the riscky situation is way funnier that help Azula, she is alredy bored with her, I swear you!
