I can't begin to fathom why people would even choose to have a four day argument over cartoons. To get unto a computer and argue over animated drawings is beyond me. Don't we have better things to do with our time on this planet, than sit at a computer and argue over television shows?

I understand the desire for dedicated Avatards to come unto this board and expression the many great aspects of the show. The show expresses, to both young and old, it message of tolerance and the need to understand your fellow man. Maybe the show brought families together to watch something they all could enjoy and later reflect upon once the episode was over.

The Narutoids come unto the avatar forum and say that they want to have a little debate about why Avatar is so great.

    52 pages isn't a little debate whatsoever.

And here is a definition of debate: A discussion over opposing points; an argument.

Right away people who see the word debate should immediately think, argument. Especially if the subject of the "debate" is about why a show is better than another. That kind of a subject just reeks of 'impending flaming'. The posters on this board should have left when the "little" debate decided to turn into baiting and insults:

"Perfect Agent96: If your a REAL of a show you'll defend it. If not you'll take the cowardly way out like this guy."

I thought you wanted us Avatards to explainwhy we loved the show, not have to sit here and defend it against your feeble attacks against it. This "debate' could have gone a lot smoother if you just took the positive feedback about why the show is great and just accept the fact that people like it and may not like something else.

I modified the saying to this situation, "One man's view of a show as trash, is another man's view of a show as treasure."

Avatards are fine in the show they've selected and the best thing for you to do is leave the Avatards in their peaceful environment, and go about your business enjoying the knowledge that you are enjoying yourself with a better source of entertainment, while the Avatards are blissfully unaware of what they're missing. That way both party's are happy.

Oh and in regards to the quote I used of you, it's "If you're a" not "If your a".

Avatar:3, Naruto:0 If you compare them like that, Avatar is leaps and bounds over Naruto.
LMAO you have NO freakin idea what the hell your talking about. Just to burst your bubble A SINGLE episode of Naruto costs 2 MILLION dollars. That's TWICE of Avatar. It has a Manga, toys, games, all of which are BETTEr, (you can't tell me that the avatar games don't suck I mean Seriously), Naruto has famous voice actors. And who cares about a live action movie. Avatar cartoon sucks. Live action would be a disasterpiece. Take your BS to someon who cares.

woah wait, avatar and naruto seriously cost that much money to make one episode, that's insane.

At any rate the amount of money put in/stuff made about the shows are not good determination for how great they are. Nor are the amount of viewers. A lot of good shows can go under the radar.

And also, if you are going to come on here and try to promote other shows on the Avatar forum, (Now I am going to put this as nicely as I can right now), GTFO NOOB! Seriously, why come here to ask us why Avatar is so great? If you don't like it, oh well. Deal with it.

In that case, How is a 15-year old strong enough to run with literally tons of weights on each foot?

Anime is good for action. I've watched Naruto. Character development is minimal at best. And even though the fights are awesome, the characters are sickly overpowered, and characters can barely throw a punch without having a flashback.

Avatar has a plot that could be resolved in the near future. Fights go uninterrupted and are resolved in minutes. Character development? are you blind? Have you seen Aang in the first episode at all? look at him now. Everyone gets developed to an extent, Even Sokka.

Avatar plot is pretty straightforward defeat the firelord and save the world. In Naruto its way more complicated which is why Naruto is longer. Also Naruto has more than 190 episodes.

This thread is made of fail. All of you troll...sorry debaters should gtfo this forum. What genius on your forum came up with this awesome idea?!

Gee lets go to the avatar forums and ask them why they watch this show because other shows are clearly better.

    1. This is the avatar forum, people go on because they like the show.

    2. Its down to opinion. I like naruto, but i like avatar more. Personally for me i think narutos too slow and i dont like waiting 50+ episodes for a story arc to finish (i was bored out my mind at the end of the chunin exams and the invasion of konoha was the only thing that kept me watching. If not i would of quit the show.

    3. Why post a comment saying oh were just going to have a friendly debate over this show when the next comment from you fanboys is stuff like "OMG ISTS SO IMMATUREZ WHY THEH ELLZ YOU GUYZ WATCH ITS!>!>!>>!>!111111" A show aimed at 7-13 year olds isnt exactly going to kill of 20 people is it? Oh and how the hell does killing off people make a show better? More dramatic maybe but thats about it.

Can we just lock this thread please its just pathetic.
