Why is this so great.

    That's because Death Note doesn't rely upon generic action, it relies on the thrill of the chase and not knowing what the hell is going to happen next, although you know what the ending will be. And at least I did get to see some pwnage by my fellow Yondaime fan.

    I like Death Note, but it starts to lose steam later on because of some.......

    incidents.

    I dint read thru this whole thread, its 2 damn long. But seriously why have a 52 page war over what goes on in a cartoon and why your fav. is the best. Besides if you wanna talk about success, at least talk about it as a real world item, NOT just over which one has better characters. On this basis, Lets break it down..

    Avatar costs more to produce, thus is better animated. That makes it, Avatar:1 Naruto:0 Avatar is prime time material, easily getting 3.8 million or better viewers when new epps air. Naruto doesnt do that well. That makes it Avatar:2 Naruto:0. Avatar has a cartoon that costs a million dollars per episode to make, motion captured animation, real A-Class voice actors, toys, videogames, books, been mentioned in other shows(example, Cold Case), and has been given a 100 million Dollar Budget to do a trilogy of live action feature films ala matrix. Naruto has a manga(i think), A cartoon show that airs on cartoon networks late night block, what appears to be a 50,000 dollar budget for animation, B List actors, and a videogame. Avatar:3, Naruto:0

    If you compare them like that, Avatar is leaps and bounds over Naruto.

    Wow, I was laughing at the stupid posts of Avatar and Naruto fans. I love both shows, and some of the insults were pretty much....well, they weren't thought out. I would post an opinion here, but this was an epic fail. Sorry.

    LMAO you have NO freakin idea what the hell your talking about. Just to burst your bubble A SINGLE episode of Naruto costs 2 MILLION dollars. That's TWICE of Avatar. It has a Manga, toys, games, all of which are BETTEr, (you can't tell me that the avatar games don't suck I mean Seriously), Naruto has famous voice actors. And who cares about a live action movie. Avatar cartoon sucks. Live action would be a disasterpiece. Take your BS to someon who cares.

    I think somebody said in earlier posts that no one has died in Avatar. On the contrary, Zhao did die at the end of Season 1.

    You can't really compare the two since Avatar isn't anime.

    Look, all you Naruto fans... we get it, you think Avatar isn't as good. You DO realise that no matter what you say about Avatar, the fans will still love it, right?
