Because I've been gone since last night, I feel I need to make up for my lack of posts with an essay. So, sorry about the super long post .

    I watch Avatar because...

Appealing Characters: Aang, 12 years old, has a life that is really easy to relate to. When he had to face something that involved having much more maturity than he did, he did what any kid would do-- he ran away. Instead of following the cliche of the main character living up to their responsibility, Aang's reaction is a little more real and relatable. The older brother ways of Sokka are much like my older sister ways, in the sense that I'm very protective of my younger brother. Zuko, Aang, Katara, and many other characters have faced turmoil that is extremely relatable, and have appealing and realistic personalities, strengths, and flaws.

Layered Storylines and Creative Plot: Because who doesn't love drama/action/romance cartoons? But seriously, this show is extremely unique, and exposes not only young Nick veiwers, but the world to plot twists and turns never before seen on Nick. The layered storylines of Aang and Zuko tie into eachother without being similar at all. It's amazing, how their pasts affect them and their futures. Also, meeting new characters and getting into crazy situations is what Avatar's all about, and why I love it so much.

Action and Fighting Sequences: The amazing martial arts that Mike and Bryan decided to use for each bending skill, combined with the actual bending of the element, creates a beautiful and intense fight scene that no one should want to miss out on. Clever tactics, and well designed and choreographed fights, all build up to make one exctiting scene.

Beautiful Animation: Although it's important to pay attention to the ever twisting plot of Avatar, the amazing scenery and animation that is added to the show deserves great appreciation. The towns, cities, mountain ranges, and even the desert was a sight to behold. The beautiful artistic detail only raises the quality of the show. The animation is clean and amazing, and keeps you focused on the wonders of this astounding show.

Other reasons I like the show include hilarious comic relief at all the right times, and the cute guys don't go unnoticed either !

(I voted all of the above, of course!)

thank you so much, i love reading avatar essays, once again thanks ALOT for your review

comic relief is part of the appealing characters (they must be unique and or hot )

beautiful animation also includes the reality of the character's facial expressions, gestures, character movement

    Why do I watch avatar?....

How can you not watch Avatar?

The story line is intelligent and fascinating...
The characters all represent the different sides of me...in a good way...(I'm not on crack)
And most of all, the comedy. I hardly ever get a good laugh anymore.(And don't think of using that," You can laugh at your face" joke. I'll kill you)

I can't even count all of the reasons I watch Avatar! The show has great characters that we can acutally understand and relate to, the animation is so incredible, and the show actually has a plot unlike most of Nick's other shows. (No offense to them of course.) So to sum it all up, Avatar is a great all-around show, so duh I picked All of the Above and More! I really didn't start to watch Avatar until like the middle of Book 1, but even then I still wasn't really into the show. Somewhere in Book 2 I finally came to my senses and said OH MY GOSH! Avatar is an awesome show! Now I'm an Avatar fanatic, and I'm proud to be one! Sorry this so long and dorky, but I'm new. I've been trying hard not to be so nerdy, but it's not working. I think it's a disease. Please be nice.
