Why do people think having a new villain would be a bad idea?

I also have an idea for a new villain okay picture this there are a ton of air benders that escaped the inital attack and made a new home/village/temper/whatever where only a skybison would beable to go so they won't be bothered now their pissed off that the firenation killed them their ideals have been twisted by anger and hatred and when aang finds them and explains that the war is over and the fire nation is now okay and didn't really get a punishment they are pissed off and go forward with this plan for revenge against the fire nation

    Wouldn't work, cause:

    1) All Airbenders are EXTINCT, deal with it, even the Spirits of the Avatars know it.

    2) The Airbenders followed Buddist tenets of compassion and non-aggression. It would not have been in their nature to pursue bloody revenge.

    3) Not to mention it would have been grossly STUPID seeing how the Fire Nation aggressors have already been defeated and the current Fire Lord is a close friend and ally of the current Avatar, who is *gasp* an Airbender.

    4) Also, twisting of ideals has already been done to death (Jet, Hama, Katara, Aang's own struggles etc.).

5). Finally, WHAT SORT OF THREAT would a sad little village of sad little airbenders do against the mighty AVATAR???

    In short, no go.

    1. maybe they found away to shield themselves from spirits they are the spiritual ones

    2. um the fire nation ambushed them at their home and kill everyone they could.. I'd think they be pissed

    3. that's what their pissed about they feel aang betrayed air benders by letting the fire nation off the hook with just imprisoning 2 ppl

    4. dude thats just trying to find your way not a whole ppls ideals twisted

    5. they are pissed off and have had 100 years to train and procreate and aang wouldn't want to fight them

Really, I think it's so obvious the discussion is pointless.

Oh and yeah - PHE4R THE MIGHTY AIRBENDERS WHO HAD 100 YEARS TO PROCREATE!!

I'd like to comment on number 2 there.

What the Fire Nation did to the Air Nomads is kind of like what the Chinese did/are doing to the Tibetans.

But the Tibetan exile government's policy toward the Chinese remains non-violent.

I think that they should restart the series the same way they started it. They should have Aang, Sokka, Katara, Toph, and Zuko riding on Appa when a terrible storm hits. Long story short - they can't escape, Aang goes avatar state and freezes everybody, and they are unfrozen years later in the middle of another war or catastrophe.

This way, they can keep the same characters and have a new set of villains.

The only real problems I can see are the redundency issue and fact that he won't have to learn any of elements, so the number of episodes would decrease.

Villiany is all about perspective. Aang was the villian for the Fire Nation. All you need is a person with a goal and the wherewithall(how do you spell that, seriously?) to do what it takes to get it done and have him stand opposite of the set good guy, and BINGO, fresh villian special with side of cruelty.

i think there shouldnt be a MAJOR villain like another azula or ozai.

the best way is a mini-villian such as a fire nation rebellion leader or something.
