I searched the threads, so I don't think this was a topic before, so please no one bite my head off if I'm just being stupid.

Oh, anyway, self explanatory, but let me explain. If you could pick real people/celebrities to play the Gaang and friends...and enemies...and random... you get the point...Who would you pick? and why...if you so choose...cause mysteries are fun and alll.

I found a message I had put on the old Ask-Question-Get-Answer topic. Since I don't know many child actors, except Dakota Fanning (as Toph?!), I can only imagine the??adult roles. Now to work on Bato and Iroh...

Grey DeLise is like 30 something...playing a 14 year old with a 30 year old body wouldn't look right...that's why I say if they bring Avatar to the big screen they just animate it...cuz they won't please everyone with who they cast...it'll be much much easier to put the big bucks into bringing in elite??animators

Dakota Fanning is too petite to play Toph. We'd have to get some chunky butch nobody to play her. Dante is probably too old to play Zuko. Kristin Kreuk is a natural bit...er, a natural Katara.

They could get the youngest kid from "Malcomn in the Middle" to play one of Aang's friends at the Air Temple...shave his head bald and stick on an arrow and he'd fit the mold perfectly

Too petite for Toph?! Toph is quite petite. That's what makes it so ironic for her to have command over huge masses of rock. And don't you think Kristin Kreuk is a little old to play a teenager? Though she might have made a better Azula than Katara-- a??voice so deceivingly sweet.

Toph isn't petite. She's short, but stocky. Dakota would have to eat like twice her weight to fill Toph's shoes. And Kristin Kreuk is going to be cast as a teenager at least 3 more times before she turns 30, we can hypothetically cast her at least once more. But I kind of like the Azula cast.

I guess you would know better than I would. I don't watch movies that prominently feature children.

But you don't have any problems with TV shows that do

I just watched the trailer for Charlotte's Web. Dakota Fanning is tiiiny. Though, I'd prefer Jodelle Ferland as Toph, if we let a tiny kid play her.

I watch the news (which features "grownups") and Avatar:... (which features paintings) on TV.
