Huh, I'll have to watch that again. But what if he is just some paid guy? Odds are slim, but it could happen. I still believe though that he is an actual person. (Not getting paid)

Earth King ain't fat, its just robes. The glasses did seem out of place for a kind though. Anyway I'm going to laugh, if the Earth King has this high pitched geeky voice.

I think the earth king is King Bumi's son if he has one. but the reason Ba Sing Se is the next earth kingdom INSTEAD of it being the kingdom right away i dont know, but i do this, if i had a kid i would put him in the safest place to be and there is nothing more safe looking then Two big walls surrounding prolly the toughest bodygaurds and the most evilest looking politician on the show, Long Feng. But think about when a king supposedly "DIES" whos next in line?? The prince, so the only reason theyd call him king is because hes prince untill they free Bumi. Thats just what i think, unless the earth kingdom is seperated, then i dunno. please respond

I got it! The Earth King knows about the war, knows about everything that is going on, but is afraid to reveal it. Long Feng doesn't think he knows anything, thus the King is able to stay in power(kinda). If LF knew that the EK knew what was going on, Long Feng would have him brainwashed and the King would lose what power he had.

Ok .. I'll try to make an opinion about how the earth king could be by that photo of him that the sadist_activist posted).I doubt he's a goof-ball because he looks way too serious.In no way is he fat.. it's obviously from the baggy clothes.Again the seriosity suggests that he's not brainwashed .. if he were brainwashed he'd have a big ol' dandy smile on his face yelling "I'm so happy!! I'm so freakin' happy!", well .. more or less. I don't think the glasses are meant to make him look dorky , more like scholarly. I think he's one smart and wise guy even at his relatively young age. At least that's how he looks to me. I really like his posture because it's so ... imposing i guess. His posture and seriosity also kind of dismiss the idea that he could be scared to do anything about what Fen Long is doing.... Although Fen Long did mention losing CONTROL of the Earth king .. so he is controlling him in some way.I guess it's probably related to the balance mentioned... the Earth King probably doesn't want to cause any trouble as long as the people seem happy.
