We all know that Omashu has been lost to the fire nation and king bumi has been captured. but when will they take it back.

if they want to it on mass force with lost of other earthbenders is has to be soon cos the FN are covering the city in metal so the earthbenders cant do their thing!

also i wonder how king bumi is doing they must have realised that he can earth bend with his face so have they covered that up to ???

I don't think it will be Aang and his gang that take it back. Bumi gave that whole speech about Earthbenders biding their time. He said (if I remember correctly, I havn't seen the episode in a while) that Earthbenders are most powerful when they wait. So I think Bumi will just wait for the right moment, and then he will take back his city. Pure speculations, but maybe it's plausible.

Bumi's like the most powerful earthbender in Omashu, if anyone can lead the charge to take Omashu back, it's him.

*in a snobby teenage girl's voice* It's New Ozai, not Omashu, Gosh.

Right after Ozai is beaten and the war is ended the show will probably have flashes of different locations that use to be under FN control being reverted back to the way they were.

Of course. They would take the easy way out. The overused, expected formula.

*Ozai is defeated; followed by this series of flashbacks*
*The Warriors of Kyoshi return home*
*New Ozai is reclaimed by Bumi*
*Tyro and Haru's village is free from the Fire Nation*
*The village from Jet is freed*
*The FN fortress seen in The Blue Spirit is destroyed*

Blah blah blah...at least they can do something not so obvious.

Well that 'easy way out' may happen. After all season 3 is going to have Aang trying to lear the books respective element (Fire) like the other two and also tackle the main goal of the series (fighting Ozai). Once that happens the fact is that there will be too many loose ends to tie up properly your list names just 5 out of what will probably be about 15 or possibly 20 characters or events that will be like the ones listed above.

What you've listed is nothing but Earth Kingdom. As much as I love E.K., the Water Tribes need some lovin'.

I think there should be epic battles in the cities. I would love to see a rise of insurgency in New Ozai and a battle on the level of Stalingrad in that city. That would be keen.

As for Earthbenders waiting. Think of it this way. A earthquake is powerful when it builds up pressure. The longer it goes without a earthquake the more pressure builds up and when that rock finally gives the energy released in extremely great.

So "Operation Earthquake" should really shake things up. Either it will be a explosion of earthbender insurgency or maybe King Bumi is building up pressure in the rock in New Ozai and when it is time have the rock slip and the city will collapse under the occupiers. Since they are earthbenders rebuilding will be easy though.
