What's with all the shipping wars that include Katara? I mean there are so many ships: Kataang, Zutara, Jetara, Kataru, & Katiroh?? (joking on the last one) Of course, Kataang & Zutara with more chaos (seeing as Zuko & Aang are the only two still around) but is it really that serious.?? Ok so Aang has said he loves her but as what?? A friend? A partner? He is 12! It's called puppy love. Sure, he has a crush but they could also end up being close friends. Just because she cares for him doesn't mean she deeply in love with him. People can have close friends??the care about but not want a relationship with and many people can be in a relationship only to realize they work better as friends.??Katara had a crush on Jet but he had qualities she wasn't fond of and her last encounter with him he was near death.??Of course she was going to cry! If he does come back everything will depend his personality at the time.?? As for Zuko & Haru, what? She reveals how her mother was taken by the FN with someone who suffered the same lost and instantly they are in love? I don't think so. It's just something that eachother can relate to. Sure, it can open to further conversation reveal other similarities they share with one another to eachother but anyone ever heard of FRIENDS first? If they happen to bump into Haru again they will meet as friends. I repeat: FRIENDS! Katara is not going jump into his arms and tell him to take her away with him if the reunite. Now, Zuko. As far as Katara is concerned, that moment they were held prisoner together where she started to see the good him is gone. Now not only is he an enemy of her's but she now sees him as a liar as well. Even, if things were different after he had joined the battle with Azula those few scenes would only be for someone else, besides Iroh, so see the man good man Zuko has become. They would have had to been in the cave for a more extensive time to even become close enough to even feel that way about each other.
I am I trying to kill all Katara ships? No, but I don't like having to see tons of boards about various different Katara ships filled with arguements about which ship will happen and which ship is a figment of great imagination. Sokka seems to be the only one in a relationship so far but there are questions of the whereabouts of Suki. The writers may not even choose to put any of the characters in a serious relationship anyway. I'm not saying that one cannot wish, hope, prefer, or enjoy a certain ship but why must one argue about something they can't be certain over anyway as if they have the true answer. Just watch the show like the rest of us continue to love your ship and CALM DOWN!
