    He won't die. He might be one of those "You-Just-Think-I'm-Dead-But-I'll-Come-Back-In-A-Later-Episode" kinds of people. There are a lot of them.

    ... Jet will return, but he is sent back from the dead/spirit world by Koh, the Face Stealer. Hiding behind the mask of the Blue Spirit, Jet is given spiritual powers for his rage and anger after Aang has mastered the 4 mortal world elements, but must master the 5th, of spirit. Jet has no face under the Blue Spirit mask.

    It would make good fan fiction.

    ...Dang, you really thought about that, didn't you?? Not a bad idea really...It'd be an interesting story line. And we could have a "Jet-solo" like we had in Zuko Alone where the only people we see besides him are in flashbacks...

    The long awaited fight between Jet and Zuko isn't gonna happen. If Jet isn't dead, he's crippled for several years until his ribs heal. When he's finally strong enough to fight again, Zuko will be either dead or the Fire Lord. I just had to say it.

    You just had to choose the worst examples. Especially Katara Alone, what the heck would that be?

    Katara is alone. Katara is full of conviction! Katara wins a battle! Katara scares everyone away! Katara is just annoying without Sokka to take the edge off! Katara runs out of water! Jesus comes up to Katara with water and asks for her signature! Jesus always wanted to meet someone perfect! Katara wins another fight! Aang and the gang reunites with Katara (but plan to ditch her again as soon as they can).
