if i were going to do an avatar game it should use elements of kingdom hearts 1 where you have all the characters around you so if necessary you can switch between them during gameplay and battles and also you can leave them to their own devices so you dont have to worry so much about what theyre doing. and if one character isnt in play due to storylines then youd be in control of one of the other people in your group until that missing person comes back into play. the game should be set in an open world so you can travel to all the diff locations in the show and do side missiosn to earn money to buy items weapons and food and other collectibles .

as far as travel goes the avatar world is huge but itd be cool to have the option to fly on apa or go by land or sea either by boats or the diff vehicles and animals in the game usded for travel or you can wolk . also its be cool to have some kind of mini game where you need to keep apa healthy by cleaning and feeding him and allowing him to rest. and once youve traveld the long way to any area if you need to go back as part of another mission or side story then you should be bale to plot a path on the world map and then be instantly sent there all the while the time it takes to get there being added to the time of day so that if it takes so many hours to get there and its daytime by the time you get there itd be night or evening accordingly.

another thing they should borrow from kingdom hearts 1 is the ability to customize your friends in teh game with diff items and skills as well s being able to customize hwo they fight and help you and use items. experience is gained by how much your practice or fight and the more you practice fighting, bending and other skills the more powerful they become and the more you can use them. bending should be linked to a kind of stamina because as youve seen in the shows after so much fighting bending takes alot out of you so over time your attacks weaken in strength.

a major draw of the game is exploring and the ability fo the players to visit the places theyve seen in the cartoon so as big as the world of the avatar is itd probably be easier to pull off with the ps3 or the 360 hd drive so maybe the next gen will see this game come to pass.

you also need a deep hand to hand combat system as well as being able to use bending on the fly. you should be able to use bending to accomplish tasks in the game and for people you meet and then bendign you use should have an effect on the environment. and where you fight should be as important as how you fight like if you were fighting fire benders then itd be better for you to fight near water if you have gained the water bending ablity instead of a forrest.

also like how they do in the xmen legend games you should be able to mix your skills with your other teammates so if you come near kitara you should be able to mix air bending with water bending to do something or mix water with water to create a stronger water attack. i dunno if ang can mix his diff bending skills independant of anyone elses help but if he can itd be cool to try out diff bending techniques to see what happens and log these tests in some kind of in game journal.

as a bonus once you beat the game you should be able to do mission as some of the other characters in the game and follow their storylines like being able to play as zuko and his uncle or playing as zula and her friends.but more than anything what would make the game shine?? is all the side missions and quests and work related missions you can do in the game ranging from fighting bandits to entertaining people with bending to make money or doing odd jobs around the diff cities and towns.

me personally id love to be able to fight in the earth bending arena against the earth benders there.

but if they decide to never put the time and effort into a decent avatar adventure/ rpg then at the very least they should make an avatar fightin game where you can go online and create your own fighter and choose what type of bending he does and learn and earn diff bending techniques and fight other people online . maybe the person with the highest ranking gets to be the avatar or something.

I wrote this on another thread but here it goes again:

First of all it should be an Adventure/Action RPG. It should not be based on the series story!! it should use only the avatar's world. because all games based on movies stories suck. For game engine it should use The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's game engine, it has unbelievable graphics, amazing game play and earth-shattering physics. (want more info about oblivion and its features google it)

Ok in the beginning of the game you should be able to choose?? you bending nation. you are the avatar so you'll have to learn all the other bending powers ( that's why it has to be an rpg) at the start you are a 16 year-old who has just mastered your native bending power, and you are told you are the avatar, so have to travel all over the world ( oblivion's game engine could handle the entire Avatar world easily) to master the other elements and stop the possible fire nation attack ( that will become the war).

As an RPG you should be able to explore the whole world, cities, and towns with complete freedom, you will be able to recruit warriors to help in you, earn money on jobs, fight on arenas and find bending masters to teach you. Also you can buy boats, weapons, animals to ride and clothes to wear.?? There will be hundreds of side missions on each town that will raise your reputation, this will give you fame and bounty hunters will be after you.

After you develop ur bending abilities, the war will begin and a and immersing main??story will start. you'll be on HUGE battles between fire-benders and earth-benders, you'll be able to turn the tide of the battle using the avatar state. And you'll have to make your way to the fire nation and defeat the firelord in an epic battle!!

What do u think of my idea??

i also think that it should be an RPG, and not follow any characters from the show. i would like to see a game that tells the story of the beginning of the war, like the first 10 years. you would pick your nation, and the game would begin with the death of the airbenders. you would design a character who would be a bender, and you join the water or earth nation army to stop the fire nation advance in the earth kingdom. or you could be a firebender that aids in the invasion of the earth kingdom.?? the game would be based on large scale battles with smaller missions in between. you could also increase your bending skills or weapons skills. you should be able to fight w/ swords or weapons and not just bending. i would like to see hoe the war started. it should be a game rated T at least. a game thats a little more violent an geared for older kids.

It should be nothing like an RPG. RPG's suck! IT should be straight up action-adventure with a deep combo system??that could??make devil may cry 3 drop to its knees. Ok, that's impossible, but still...

The only action games that ROCK are first person shoters!! and there is no way a game based on avatar could be a FPS! If you say RPG's suck, you clearly have not played Oblivion.

I don't have the patience to play RPG's. If I did, then yes, Oblivion would rock my world. So would Final Fantasy and crap. Btw, FPS's aren't action games... they're shooters

It should be about the first avatar and his journey to be the first person to bring balance to the world. Call it Avatar:Origins or something. It would also be nice if the fire nation werent the bad guys. I think it would be awsome if it were along the lines of Final Fantasy: crystal chronicles. In case you haven't played that game, it is 4 players, adventure style rpg(live action fights, but with experience and upgrading).

It would work really well cuz that game was huge on elemental stuff, and better magic spells were done by having 2 chars use the same element and being close to one another.

Just give it to someone much better than THQ, and make sure they put effort into making it a good video game, no matter what it's like. And get out of their way when they're developing it.

the onlu fps ive ever loved was half life and all those mods people made for it. all in all though the fps genre is pretty stale because theres only so much you can do with them as far as the single player aspect goes. they do have some of the best online competiitive battles though but aside from that not much else. oh yeah and metriod prime was an amazing one too in its time mainly due to how real the world looked and the exloration aspect of the game. i think half life 2 was probably the last game to bring something really inventive to the fps genre and the rest of the fps's tend to focus too much on physics and bodies flopping about in mock realism.

me personally i tend to lean more towards action adventure games with stories you can get into and some platformers. ico and shadow of the colossus are great examples of adv games with deep stories and the ratchet and clank series is where you can get the best platforming on the ps2. oh yeah and God of warshort game but amazing story and combat.

You should try Prey! It has an unbelievable story, innovative??game play and its freaking fun!! lol.?? Seriously, if you think Half life 2 was the last good FPS, you should play, Prey. Far cry, republic commando, or Call??of Juarez. They are awesome!

I haven't played an FPS since Goldeneye on N64.

In the Avatar game? I would like to play as Toph instead of Haru.

When you play as Toph for realism the screen should be black.

Then again I wonder what toph-o-vision would be like, you know like in spliter cell or AvP where you go into IR vision or Alien vision? Maybe Toph vibrat-o-vision would be cool. range would be limited, everything would be in black and white, you would see sound waves traveling across the ground, people and things would light up if they make a sound and you would see their outline. Maybe you can stump Toph feet to make the surrounding light up breifly with echo-resonance (like in the dare devil movie).

Actually, those are all some pretty cool ideas. I also wouldn't be all that suprised if they end up making another game eventually, assuming the series continues on for long enough... I have seen less popular shows get more than one game.

Here's an Idea: a Sakura Taisen style game - lots of story/interaction parts, your various decisions/reactions to events and dialougue effect the stats/skills of each character
when you go into the battles, and how the story progresses (allowing for multiple endings and plenty of replay value.)

yeah prey is kind of easy because you dont actually die, but if you play it on the Cherokee mode it will be much more challenging! and your ideas about toph's vision are really cool, i was thinking the same.

If I made an Avatar RPG I would make sure that there was a level for each Chapter, each one with 1 to 5 short missions, where you have a party. (like Katara and Sokka for the beginning of 1-01, Aang for the middle of 1-02, or Sokka and Suki for the middle of 1-04, etc.) In between missions you can go back to the map and choose what you want to do next.

Each character levels up, and their stats stay the same even if you go back to previous levels. This way, if you wanted to level up Suki for Level 2-13, you could play 1-04 a few times.

I'm drooling just THINKING about it!
