    there is air underwater not much but there is water how much fish breathe then they just take the air out of the water

    Who says water isnt everywhere, everytime you bring u produce water. According to the Nick website, water benders can bend the vapopur in the air and bend the water in humans and turn them into puppets! Water rocks!!! Go water tribe Go water tribe!

    I was just about to say how cool it would be to see a waterbender bend the water in a human to control them. Well now that Nick has confirmed they can, let's see Katara do it.

    Again, water or fire. Fire can do lightning and can control lava! ((Remember in the "flashback" thingys from Avatar State??)) Tell me that ain't cool!! And fire can burn through just about anything??((Or at least melt it))??if you get it hot enough!! All lava is is MELTED rock. And in large enough quantities, it can evaporate water. Fire also drains oxygen from the air, making it hard to breathe, so you probably won't be doing much fighting when you can't inhale.

    I would be a waterbender. It's in my sign, Scorpio. And water has always been my favorite element. I love to swim!

    My second choice would be airbender because flying looks like fun.

    Fire heats up water......over a long period of time
    Fire will gobble up air.....but there's too much air for fire to absorb like that anyway

    Hmm, sounds to me like Fire is the most pathetic. Now, to answer your question, Waterbender so I can heal myself and others. Also, after seeing Katara whoop Jet like that in the Lake Logai episode, Waterbending proves to be a very good element.

    Actually, lava is cooled, solidified magma. Magma is melted rock. Well considering the fact that fire would require a small, just about airtight space and time to drain air away, giving the opponent plenty of time to attack, and once the oxygen is gone, not only will neither the firebender or opponent be able to fight much, but the firebender will not be able to bend until he or she can get to an environment with oxygen again.
