Dude comon, don't be like that. Anyway to be honest my feelings towards this have cooled over quite bit. The "everday" thing may now be void and the scheduled a bit dishelved, but I'm just glad that they decided to show the ep (Winter Solstice Part 1) anyway. It was a great "turning point-ish" episode and I'm glad that the main objective was still accomplished and anyone who wanted to see it (especially if they're new to the show) was able to see it.??Now here's my??take, I think the??Nick executives doing this time slot thing because they see Avatar as a window to give aid to other Nick shows that need all the help they can get. I mean??look at it, Mr. Meaty (new to the block) and Danny Phantom (we all know its gettin cancelled). Its all about promotion, they've been doing it with Spongebob for a while now and I personally see it as nothing but a good sign if they're doing it to Avatar (wondered why they always showed Avatar commercials during DP. Had to sit through that just to...pass. Anyone else see that V-Cast commercial?). Even the networks do the same thing. When was the last time you saw a commercial for an new ABC fall show that didn???t contain something like, ???premiering right after a brand new Lost??? or ???followed by Grey???s Anatomy???? They even give them big huge label caption now. The world of television. Think I???m gonna read the newspaper or somethin, but well you???know that???s just me.
Hehehe...some people watch Mr. Meaty purely out of curiosity...yeah not unlike those who feel compelled to stop and watch trainwrecks when they happen. Exactly. Pure morbid curiosity.
To be fair it may not be Mr. Meaty itself (trying to be gracious here) but it just may be that when you are diehard Avatar fan??and you switch on Nick at 6:30/5:30c daily and get hit with (blech) Mr. Meaty it's really hard not to start reaching for handy things to throw at the TV and??while screaming...ummm retarded...more retarded....just how retarded can this show get?....and who gets an??ACTUAL??salary writing this crap at Nickelodeon?!?
To the earlier poster, point well taken that it's a quasi-compliment to Avatar that Nickelodeon would use??the show's popularity??to??attempt to earn the devout Avatar??viewership??to other shows as well but it still makes??us feel as if??we need to wash??our hands afterwards. Ick-o-rama.
If Nickelodeon really wants to pull in the yield from the Avatar popularity rage, stop trying to convince us to like other shows that don't even begin to COMPARE to Avatar and instead produce more Avatar products on Nick.com for us to buy. Duh. Marketing 101 Nickelodeon!

Its not just the current avatar viewership-thingie. Maybe someone (times 100, 000. variables)??who's heard about it??who wanted to see Avatar for him/herself happened to tune and find Shuriken School some shznick. Plus keep in mind that execs don't really have to watch any of this crap.

I wish Nick would get their act together again. Or at least make a channel or three hour block of past Nick shows from the 80's to the 90's. |

Sorry I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that Nick executives actually watch the programs they decide to air FIRST. I wonder how Michael D. and Bryan K. live with the possible trivializing of their work if this is indeed the norm at Nickelodeon? I could see a brilliant artist dying a??slow death??inside if their??heartfelt storyline or art??was treated with such disregard. And what else are we left to think when they can yank Avatar out of the weekly listings with no qualms whatsoever and replace it with such dribble?
And I completely agree, what does happen to the new viewers who tune in during the advertised Avatar timeslot only to be greeted by Mr. Deadbeat-ie instead?
What a rip.

Just how it is. It wasn't until this year that they made it a rule for the judges to have to actually watch the show for the Emmys (lotta cable shows this year. Sorry Lost). They're in the process of making a rule at the ESRB for them to actually play the games in order to rate them. I'm hearing all this and going, "What the F? You mean that's how its been? Seriously does that make any sense at all?" Oh wel.l its not all bad, after all the guys always pay the most to??attention to the top dogs, which at this point happens to be Spongebob and Avatar. Yeah it still unfair but, meh.
