What does make Avatar so good if you compare with other?

    He's clearly not hating on Avatar just stating his opinion that there are better shows than Avatar, I haven't seen Death Note but I do think some shows are better than Avatar.

    Well Death Note is way more suprising than Avatar like mostly in Avatar you can just guess what is going to happen(Except for the show's finales) and Death Note has a lot more death and more mature stuff cause it's for teens so I don't think it can really be compared to Avatar

    Hey, hey now. They're entitled to their own opinions. While I may not agree, they said it fairly respectfully.

    And Death Note is an animu about a guy who finds a notebook that can kill whoever's name is written in it. I've seen some of it, and it's pretty interesting. Good animation.

    For me, it's simple. Avatar is fast-paced, Naruto and Bleach are slow-paced. Naruto and Bleach have so many awkward moments because everything is so drawn out, while Avatar gets right to the point. However, Bleach is faster-paced (and much better overall) than Naruto, though.

    Ya overall I think the plot for Naruto, Bleach, One Piece is better than Avatar but Avatar has good animation but I think the fights are a bit too weak because its usually "OMG ITS THE AVATAR CATCH HIM!!!!!" "DAMN HE GOT AWAY" Well the finalie looks good.

    Yay, but aren't you all forgetting the biggest thing in this topic...Avatar is no anime. When someone outside of Japan says "anime" they mean Japanese animation, animation produced by the U.S are called cartoons. Avatar was made by the U.S therefore it is a cartoon and not the American word for "anime" at all. Aside from that, I'm a mega Bleach fan so of course I like Bleach better then Avatar, but I also like Avatar better then Naruto (Naruto's fillers drove me away). I think the reason why Avatar is so popular is because it uses a lot of mythology and appears to be the closest thing to Japanese "anime" that the U.S has ever created. It has a plot that is simply enough for a child to understand and complex enough for an adult to question, sort of the like The Hunchback of Norte Dame. When you were a child you just enjoyed watching it and didn't notice all the little hints of stuff intended for adults (Like Frollo's creepy song). Just theories of course, but thats why I watch it.

    And there will be a lot more filler episodes, like about 70 more filler episodes. But you are right there are some filler episodes that are watchable. My favorite filler episode was Kakashi's mask one.
