What do you think of Mai now? TBR spoilers

    This is for those that saw the Boiling Rock, after that episode what are your opinions of Mai now? Where are the haters now?

    I understand there is a group that belongs to a certain ship that has their reasons not to like her, I understand that, but they should also hate the main character, the Avatar himself, he too is guilty of that crime of getting in the way. Lets throw all that shipping crap out. This is just about the show. The only crime she ever did was in Return To Omashu.

    What Mai was selfless and brave, she redemed herself in my eyes for what she did in Return To Omashu, just like Zuko redemed himself for what he did in CoD. My opinion has changed of her for the better.

    At the beginning of the season, people called her a gold digger, and just dated the prince of the FN for social statous, well she stood by that same person who is not a prince, but a big trader to the FN.

    she is still the ssame old goth, but i have more respect for her now.....in fact...i might move back to kataang instead of zutara. amiko is probably gonna happen...so now its official....i am a maiko and kataang fan

    Me too, I understand certain people don't like her for shipping reasons. It is okay to think she is not right for Zuko, but calling her a gold digger and other things that have been said about her this season, that is no longer fair. She has proven herself to me.

    I am not the biggest Mai fan in the world, I do respect what she did. Just like I gained respect for Jet who I was never a big fan of, for what he did in episode 217.

    I agree with this, she has had a lot of character development since her introduction, but I still remember in Return to Omashu how she was OK with letting her little brother being kidnapped just because Azula said so. Well I'm very happy that she has changed since then, and let's try to contain all discussion of TBR in the Official Thread.

    I'm not a Mai fan. She's just seemed cold and uncaring to me, until The Beach at least. I felt for her then, and I still do now. She's just still not a character I like.

    I like her now. I still want Zuko and Katara, but she's cool because now she has a personality.

    I have to say that, if she was like this from the beginning I would have supported her and Zuzu.

    Mai is (or was, however you view it) Zuko's girlfriend. She was also previously Azula's friend. Her father is governor of New Ozai (Omashu). She can come off cold and unfeeling, or even emo, but all she does is contain those feelings.

    butanyways, whats with mai's uncles crown with and arrow like aangs and apps but going upwards?? does anyone else think mai and ty lee are from the descended sirbender traitor and thats why they are high royalty and can not firebend?

    I was not talking to you. Maybe lies was the wrong world, but accusing her of things without proff, like "She is only using Zuko", "She is a gold digger", "She and Azula are plotting together". Those types of accusation I have heard all season, at the time you couldn't prove those accusation false, but you can't prove they are true either. Innocent until proven guilty.

    Everybody deserves a chance to redeem themselves, and I'm proud of Mai and Ty Lee for doing so, so since yesturday both girls aren't part of the villians group anymore.
    Poor girls, their fates rely on Azula which is nuts u_u
