Ok, as we all know, the season 2 finale was AMAZING.?? Especially the HUGE fight in the crystal cave place...but when katara was hugging Aang on Appa, his arrow glowed, then faded away...then he "came back to life"??
Was that the end of the avatar state??? Or what do you think happened??? WAIT!?? Just a thought..he was in teh avatar state when Azula hit him...Is teh avatar cycle done..was aang killed??? I unno :/?? Plz post with your theories!

Well, I guess we'll find out next season if Aang is unable to bend anything but air.??
He was brought back by water from the spirit oasis, so I think the Avatar State is still on.

Well first Aang can't be dead I mean that would be the end of the series right there. Plus he would probably still be able to bend water and earth since he could even without going into the Avatar State.

Roku: If you are killed in the Avatar state, the reincarnation cycle will be broken and the Avatar will cease to exist.
If he did not come back to life as the avatar then the world is doomed.?? Roku made it pretty clear that Aang needs to defeat the firelord before summer's end.

I think it just means he came back to life. We'll see though. This episode made every other episode of Avatar look so poor, but I suppose that's to be expected.

The Oasis water is filled with the blessings of the ocean and moon spirits since they swim in it. It has enough power to restore someone's spirit and life. The Avatar state is a dimension of power Aang can tap into. It's not a part of him like his own soul. And he's alive. So, the Avatar state is still accessible to him.
