Usually, to get into auditions like these, you have to have an agent to call and make an appointment. I would love to get auditions for people, but I'm just a humble actress... low on the movie making food chain. However, there is something that they do sometimes called an "open call" where anyone with or without an agent can audition. If I hear anything about one of those, I PROMISE I will post. Just keep in mind, THOUSANDS of people will try out for these roles. ESPECIALLY Katara and Aang. You never know. You could walk into try outs and be JUST what they're looking for. But the odds are always against you. Even if none of us are cast, it'll still be great to see the movie. Best of luck!!!

If there was to be an Avatar movie it would probably come at the end of the series.?? And it would be animated.?? Not CG, just regular animation.?? It's worked for Rugrats, SpongeBob, Disney, and Pokemon about 40,000,000 times now.?? So if we get a movie at all, we can rest assured it good ol' Avatar, the way we know, and love it, only amped up by like a few million dollars worth of quality big budget Hollywood animation.?? And that right there is enough for me to see many times and still buy the DVD on release.

And another thing.?? Even if they did do a live action version, studios have grown to hire upcoming actors for parts like these.?? So we wouldn't be seeing any big names.?? Besides, because of the heavy Asian influence, there aren't that many well-known young Asian actors anyway.?? So we wouldn't see Dakota Fanning in it because they'd want it authentic but they'd hardpressed to find young Asian names people would recognize on a global scale.?? One more thing, no one can play Iroh in my eyes except Mako and this new guy.?? And neither look like him, regardless of the fact that Mako has passed on.?? So trust me, a traditionally animated Avatar movie is the way to go, if we even get one.??

I doubt it would be a problem. Toph never physically touches an opponent, her earthbending does. I don't think ANY characters ever physically touch an opponent, it's always their bending. *Imagines that* Nope, it's not as funny.

oooo please let me know too!! My older sister even wrote a letter to M. Shyamalan asking him to make it an open casting call! I really hope it is because I'd love to be in it!

If for budget reasons they can only hire one well-known I'd ask for Hugh Jackmann as Zhao, the sideburns don't lie. Also, this is a Nick Movie so the budget will be limited.

I think if they want to make this movie good the actors must know the martial arts style that the bending is based on. This is the only way the movie can be authentic and the actors must have good experience in martial arts.

Well, it could be funny if they botch it up and hire a bad choreographer.?? But if they'd have the guts to spend that much on hiring Dakota (i heard she's paid 3 million per movie) then i'm sure they'd be willing to pay top dollar for a decent choreographer to make her and all the other characters look cool.

Besides, Toph's style of fighting isn't the typical martial arts since she uses earth to actually hit her opponents.?? The physical outcome of her moves are similar to that of Tai Chi and/or Daoist movements.

Had Ashton Kutcher done "serious" roles before the butterfly effect?

She's been on "Man on Fire", but it was Denzel who was doing all the fighting.?? Besides, she's tackled different roles and always her performance was exemplary.?? I consider her the best actress of her generation, and i'm confident that should she get the role, not only will she actually embody Toph, but she might actually steal the show.

After looking at some pictures of her I guess she wouldn't be so bad. She could probably pull of the look very well. Its just the fighting scenes that worry me.
