I know it sounds weird but think about it. They have water in thier bodys (and yes waterbenders can bend people, as stated by nick) so could they not lift the water in them selfs and fly?

Ask a Question, Get an Answer II To answer it, my best guess is that the precise movements neccessary to execute such??a feat??aren't applicable from that point of view.

that would probably create serious damage to the insides and outsides of their organs. and even though some waterbenders can heal, it would be quite serious. also, i'm pretty sure if waterbenders could they would

The human body is what? 75% water so if someone where to "bend" the water in your body you would just come apart being it would slide all the water atoms to one area or out of place.

That'd hurt...I mean "OMG!!!" hurt. Could result in death. How bout we just stick with Waterbenders surfing the waves of water they bend. I couldnt imagine putting themselves in that condition. It'd sound...and probably be painful.

Water isn't an atom, its a molecule.

Yeah I think it would mess with your blood circulation and all that. That would be a very bad thing to do.

Maybe if they used the moisture in the air to create something they could stand on, and just move it from place to place.

Waterbenders (or at least Kinto) can manipulate the water inside of the stomach to cause pain. So if a Waterbender were to try and lift a person, it would hurt them a lot and kill them. But since Kinto is most likely unofficial to the series, it is still unknown if Waterbenders can manipulate water within the human body.

Yeah but it is made of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. But I should have said molecule. Unless when you bend someone to fly and it pulls apart the molecule thus atomizing them or well 3/4 of them.

It has been confirmed (and stated quite a few times) that it is possible for waterbenders to do this, we just have seen it on the show yet. Also, being technical here, the trading card??are official in terms of the Avatar universe as a??whole, they're just not, what's the word, canon on the??show. As far as we know now??anyway.??

Has anyone ever heard of a condition called "the bends"??? It usually plagues divers and its caused when divers dive too deep underwater.?? The inert gases in one's tissues and body fluids come out of solution too quickly and form bubbles within the body, usually in the joints like the shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles.?? These bubbles are especially uncomfortable and usually also painful and can result in rashes, sensory system failure, paralysis, and sometimes death.?? If that happens just by a drop in pressure, just think what would happen if the water molecules in one's body were manipulated in every which way.

Besides having been stated often, and confirmed, we've actually seen it in action when Katara draws the water out of Aang's lungs to keep him from drowning, in "Warriors of Kyoshi".

It also happens when you stay down at a deep water level and come up to fast. I know someone who had to be put in a recompression chamber?? because of that.

And UGamer08 why did you think I was going to say that?

That was different, though. The water just went into his lungs, so she easily removed it via the mouth. It's a bit harder to manipulate water when it's still inside the person.
