I always wondered some things about Waterbenders.

    1. Why do they have 3 abilities, Bending water, healing, and freezing water?

    2. If water puts out fire, why is it so hard for them to fight firebenders, shouldn't their bending out-bend theirs?

    3. With their healing ability, couldnt they always have??healing water??streaming around them in battle? Always healing them when their hit.

    4. Also why isn't their a move that has water constantly circling them, fire would go out whenever it got close.

Please comment, if you have any answers to these I would appreciate it. Also if you have questions relating to Waterbenders u can post them too.

    Thanks!

if a house is on fire you need ALOT of water to put it out and that healing i don't think there is much time to heal

1)They use water as a calayst(that's spelled wrong) to heal, and ice is part of water. Like some earthbenders bend sand. It's another form of water

2)I don't suppose you have ever tried to put out a grease fire using water? Some types of fire get strong when water is put on them.

3)I suppose healing takes a lot of concentration, which is hard to do when you are fighting. Besides, healers don't fight, and fighters don't heal.

4)Strong enough flames could boil the water, which would cook the people inside. And if lightning hit...

well according to jeong jeong, only a few waterbenders can heal. Also one of the things about avatar is that no one element is stronger than the other, it has a balance. The stronger bender will win the battle/duel. And i think healing takes a while, you have to get it out of the skin make your hands glow and then give it a minute for the enzymes to go to work.

But i sounds like you would make a good waterbender, cause you think of good moves

Jeong Jeong did not live in the Northern Water Tribe. Master Pakku said the girls learn healing and the boys learn fighting.

Ask a Question, Get an Answer II

    In that order-

    1. It all falls under one category, waterbending. Their actual special ability is healing.

    2. Depends on how much water is available, more so the series has illustrated that all the elements are balanced out and the prowess of the bender is what determines who wins. You'know rather than that: water beats fire, fire beats wood, etc??and all that vidoe game/pokemon crap. ..Yeah.

    3. A??the guy has to be present??otherwise its??just a bunch of water.??

    4. There is.

    ok
    1) They are all in essence the same ability.
2)Becuase fire benders can keep making more fire, and if they are on land fire benders have a large advantage.
3)Only certian water benders have the ability to heal, so this wouldn't work for everyone.
4)The fire would evaporate the water, so unless you have a large amount of water close by, like a bender was in a lake or something, they wouldn't be able to bring it up fast enough (and if your in a lake, you could dive under the water)

Also next time please ask these in the Ask a Question, Get an Answer thread

You're forgetting that not all waterbenders can heal and that there are people from the Water Tribe that aren't waterbenders fighting in the war. Also, for your first question, why haven't you wondered why firebenders can use lightning, fire, and blue fire? they're just other forms of the element

How is it a goof? How is Jeong Jeong suppose to know that only girls learn healing? It's not like the waterbenders regularly leave the North Pole. I'm surprised he even knows about them at all.

First sorry for the wrong place post or w/e. I'm new

    I thought of??more questions:

    5. You see Earthbenders like the king of Omashu, I think it is,??fall into the ground and appear somewhere else. Do you think water benders could do that with ice?

    6. You see in one of the episodes, cant remember which, a guy who bends the water in vines of a plant. If he can bend the wanter in a plant, cant you bend the water in a person? It would be cool if you could because then they could freeze the person in place which probably could kill them too.

    5) It would have to be thick, solid ice without any ground underneath it or in the way.

    6) it has already been confirmed that waterbenders can bend people. It says so in the Nick.com Avatar site. I quote: "At close ranges, an expert Waterbender uses an opponent's body against them. They harness the ample amount of water within the human body to control an opponent like a puppet master. The tendencies to control rather than destroy, and to heal than harm, embody the humane nature and noble characteristics of the Water Tribe." Here's a link if you don't believe me: http://www.nick.com/all_nick/tv_supersites/avatar2/index.jhtml?gquit=true. Click on the water symbol on the map,??then on "The Bending Arts" in the corner of the scroll thingy, then scroll down to Waterbending. It says it in the last few sentences.??However, I disagree that water is the superior element. But I'm not sure if you could freeze a person.

    I don't think it's a problem.

    5)Sure.

6)On wikipedia, it is said that a master can control a person like a puppetmaster. And yes. I brought that up months ago. Someone said something like it was against waterbender's honor code. But I haven't stopped thinking about it.

Really? thats so cool! I also want to add this question, thats more towards Airbenders then Water.

    7. Does Airbenders have special parts extending off their ability? If not so far i think they should eventually recieve some, it would be exciting.
