Never actually seen the dragons breath fire (if they even can) and the Water Tribes recieved their bending discipline from spirits not animals.

if you've played Autumn Twilight on Nick.com, they have these tiger animals that can waterbend. Yes, I know, a tiger waterbending....but it was just in the game and probably irrelevant to the show. we don't know what animal can waterbend or firebend yet. Dragons have not been confirmed.

Would the Unagi qualify as a waterbender??? I feel that if the dragon's firebreath can be qualified as firebending (presuming that is what he actually does) then the Unagi's steambreath should be qualified as waterbending.

It wasn't steam, it was liquid. It takes water through its gills then shoots it out. I believe the ability is based on a fish that can be found in nature. Forgot the name but it that one that spits water out to catch insects.

Wayerbending animal? What about those ying yang fish, the spirit of the moon and spirit of the ocean? Oh no wait the bending animals tend to be normal animals not spirits so I guess Im wrong. But still the moon's gravity pushes and pulls on the ocean so it kinda gives you the idea that its waterbending.

Haha, yeah. The unagi didn't really "bend" water, it just spit water out of its mouth, or something.

sky bison cannot airbend.?? and although the dragons may breathe fire this does not necessarily allow them to control it.?? i dont think that all badger-moles can earth bend, i believe those 2 in the tunnel of love were unique.?? as for water... the coy fish that houses the moon spirit if you want to look at it that way, but it doesnt really count.?? i think the proper question is: what would be the animal guide of a water tribe avatar?

I'm pretty sure most if not all badgermoles can earthbend. Didn't they say that Earthbenders learned earthbending by observing the badgermoles?

Talk about baseless assumptions....???? Where the hell did you get that sky bison can't airbend? How else do you think that Appa gets off the ground???? Moreover, where where where did you get the idea that few badgermoles can earthbend? We've seen Nothing to support your claim.

I think from the show, we could assume sky bisons can airbend. They're multi-ton animals, there's no other way they can get off the ground. Also, Appa can create huge wind blasts with his tail, he blows stuff away with a flick of his tail, and it's probably how he gets off the ground, too.

bison CAN in fact airbend. it is said that the airbenders actually learned airbending from the bisons, like earthbenders did from the badgermoles. airbenders even borrowed the arrow markings from the bisons for their tattoos
