well..since avatar is more like eastern asia culture and religion,
ill compare aang to the chinese zodiac

i believe he is the monkey,
because hes
clever,skillful, and sorta flexible(airbenders should be flexible)

and the monkey can get "discouraged very often and leave their projects"
aang gets discouraged alot in this show,
and in the guru,
he left when he was going to open his last chakra with the guru

and im aware he still opened it later,
but he still ran away from it before

the monkey is also suppose to be strong willed

Aang, as the avatar,
is no doubtly strong willed

now i see zuko as a dragon

the dragon is said to be strogwilled, short tempered and stubborn

well..zuko is strong willed
he works hard to win back his honor for his father
and hes short tempered
im not the only one that sees zuko pissed off most of the time on avatar
and he is stubborn
he barely listens to his uncle,
who treats him like a son
neither does zuko really listen to anyone else

it also says, dragons are sometimes soft hearted which gives others advantages over them

so azula uses persuasion over zuko
zuko is like a doll to azula

i also see sokka as the pig in the chinese zodiac(no..not cuz he truly is a pig that always wants food=p....but that too=p)

pigs are clever, gallant and strengthful

i mean, sokka does come up with the plans right?
that explains his cleverness

he is gallant, fighting the fn in the 2nd pilot episode of the 1st season by himself for the south pole

and he is a strong warrior

i mean...katara is loyal friends with aang
even throughout all those hardships, she stuck with aang

and she is honest,
you barely ever see her lie
and katara does inspire aangs courage and strength
as the avatar
