They need to drop Songebob and the g@y FOP and get Avatar to be their title now. No more Sponedude and Timmy, we need Aang and the rest of the squad to be the cover of Nickelodeon. *grabs pitchfork and attacks the wallpaper with Spongebob* DIE TERRORIST!! |

As an example, she points to ???Avatar: The Last Airbender,??? an anime-inspired cartoon that took six years to go from idea to a completed first episode, much longer than normal. |

A six-year road to finally airing Avatar?!?
Well I think that earns Avatar at least another SIX YEARS OF SEASONS!!!
I like what other posters have said in this thread. We like SpongeBob and all??too but I think it's time for Avatar to reign supreme at Nickelodeon. They've earned it fair and square.
I am sooooo sick of Avatar being treated like the red-headed stepchild of the Nick animated family when really it's the very best thing airing on Nickelodeon right now and if Nick executives are too dim-witted to see that well then they are truly??beyond help.
Mr. 'Deadbeat'-ie is the absolute worst. Why suck up valuable Nick airtime with worthless crap like that?
Air MORE AVATAR!

And to think that someone at Nick was undecided about whether or not to renew Avatar for a 3rd season!?? That "someone" should be...hmm...

Avatar took six years to get onto Nick. I'm assuming (what with the well thought out story lines and how in-depth the characters are) that Spongebob must've taken about six minutes. I'd rather wait six years (well, preferably not that long) for a great show than watch another Spongebob-type show right now.
(I'm coming down pretty hard on Spongebob, but in truth the show can be??a little bit??funny at times)
I actually like FOP (*dodges pitchfork*) but Avatar is easily the best thing on Nick

Well....I just came upon some astonishing information. First off, if you're standing up, please sit down (but who the heck is standing while on the computer??). Then take a deep breath..... Ok....the following quote comes from an article which can be found here: "Ms. Zarghami cites Nickelodeon???s willingness to invest in shows for the long term as something that sets it apart from rivals. As an example, she points to ???Avatar: The Last Airbender,??? an anime-inspired cartoon that took six years to go from idea to a completed first episode, much longer than normal. Last season it was the eighth-highest rated animated children???s series, according to Nielsen." The thing that obviously stands out is the SIX YEARS! Six years to go from an idea to a series...that is amazing. If you don't have respect for Nickelodeon now, I don't know what to tell you...they stuck with this thing for SIX YEARS! They could have easily stopped production and said "screw you" to the creators. But they didn't. It's amazing to find this out. |
wow I never knew that!
and WOOOOT! to a 4th season! that would seriously make my life! My sisters and I were talking about that last night..how it was going to be disappointing when it ends, but if theres a 4th season, hopefully my sister gets the internship shes applying for yayyy

I don't know why you all hate Spongebob. He's the flag ship of Nick and it will remain that way for many years to come.
And I'm going on record to say that I love Spongebob it's a great show!

OK, I admit it, I enjoy Spongebob too, although most of my favorite episodes come from the first couple of seasons.?? And sorry kids, but you have to be a teacher like me to TRULY and FULLY get the humor in Mrs. Puff!
Plus I have Spongebob to thank for my Avatar addiction.?? My son used to love watching Spongebob on Fridays, and I would usually just keep the TV on.
