    Zuko DOES see his mother!!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXJ2IVLGcbo Around 7:50 and above

the guy with the white shirt (sorry i don't know the name) said this

"While we were in Korea I storyboarded the sequence, learn he (Zuko) sees his mother thats all resolved"

the problem is that Mike didn't want it in the final.

But anyway atleast we learn that zuko mother is alive

The director Giancarlo in Korea actually storyboarded the scene where Zuko is reunited with his mom. But... Mike or Bryan (not sure) canned the idea for the finale.

the airbender reply was funny, poor guy

it's been said, no book air because Aang knows air already and no more airbenders because it's in the title, just had to come out of the mouth of one of the creators to make it true.

Why would they can the Ursa-Zuko reunion storyboard for the finale?? We're obviously not going to get anything for it in the future. >:/

Time and editing was probably a factor but they might have preferred to leave Ursa's fate a mystery in order to make it open-ended. It allows fans to speculate and imagine their own stories of what happened, and it creates the sense that even though we're leaving the Avatar universe, it still goes on.

Oh, and I guess if they ever wanted to go back to Avatar then they have something they can work with.

Can someone post a summary, I'm not in the mood to watch a 10 minute video of screaming and barely hearing them talk.

Someone asked the panel if we will ever see Zuko's mother...they said they hope to resolve that issue someday. Then they said that they actually storyboarded the scenes where Zuko reunites with Ursa...but Mike did not want it in the finale.
