Toph in The Awakening

    Im not sure if this is a little hole, but how exactly did Toph know where to shoot the rocks at in The Awakening when they were fighting the fire navy ship. She destroyed one of the catapaults(sp?) and then destroyed an incoming fire ball. How can she see where they are if she is on the ship? We can assume that she cant "see" the water, referring to The Serpants Pass. Any ideas?

    she saw where everyone else was aiming towards, and guessed thats probably where she should aim her rocks.
